http://www.lcfc.com/news/article/11...s-for-nigel-and-wes-420011.aspx?pageView=full Doubt either will get them (therefore hopefully avoiding 'the curse') but it does the bode the question - how good is Wes Morgan? - personally, in terms of the 'mission statement' of getting us to the Prem, Wes is, IMHO, Pearson's most inspired signing - a real leader and by example. Others may be more exciting as individuals, but Wes has been awesome.
Double Freedman deserves it the most Both Nigel and Malky have decent resources while Dougie is working on a very small budget Glenn Murray will also get player of the month having scored 6 goals including at Hat trick against Cardiff
Just seen sky's team of the week. How palace defender is there after they conceded 3 on sat i dont know. No leicester defenders even with 2 clean sheets.
It makes you wonder what planet some of these so called 'Pundits' are on sometimes, are they even watching the same games as the rest of us!
I think that's the point - they don't look at games, they look at stats. Morgan has been outstanding, even when we have conceded.
I agree Fosse. For all the talk of the young and exciting players Nigel's bought in, Wes has been the best of them without a doubt. The guy has almost single-handedly turned our defence around. He's a natural leader and the best defender we've had since Matt Elliott left.
It's a shame that Tunchev got injured (I know, classic Leicester supporters' line) because I think him and Wes would have been an awesome pairing. Let's hope Whitbread's up to it! (For the record, I think he probably is)
Looks like Palace ended up with both the awards. Not too surprised or disappointed by this - we appreciate the amazing month NP, Wes and the whole club have had which is the important thing! Keep it going boys!
Don't know if you have read the Peter Beagrie q & a, he was asked who the best 'keeper in the division is and he said it's a toss up between Kenny and Speroni. Kasper is far superior to both of these, even said that when he was at Leeds
Both are good quality keepers but Speroni and Kenny have conceded 17 and 16 goals whereas Schmeichel has conceded 9. Kasper holds the best home clean sheet record and is behind the joint 2nd tightest defence in the division (behind Brighton and joint with Wolves (who scored twice against us)).
Missed the kiss of death here. http://www1.skysports.com/football/...dman-wins-Championship-manager-of-month-prize
