Nigel Adkins was sacked as manager from Southampton last Friday. There has been a surprising lack of talk about Adkins, probably helped from the clubâs actions such as not mentioning him in the matchday programme. After a week has now gone by, would you have sacked Adkins and brought in Pochettinho?
Why? What a pointless thread. If you're going to make a thread, at least put some content in it rather than just "discuss".
Havn't we discussed him to death by now? We have all (mostly) mourned his departure, expressed gratitude for his immense feats and vented spleen over his sacking (despite recent improvement in form). I think the general consensus is that he is one of the best managers we have had in recent years but (currently) lacks PL experience. Cortese knew this and rather than wait a season or 2 he brought in someone who he feels will take us up the table more quickly.
