Hard to believe but rumour circulating that his position is under threat due to owners looking for a higher profile manager.

He won't be the last to do really wel for a club and get the sack. That's if it's true.

Yeah because first time premier league managers this season have done so badly, I mean Paul Lambert and Brendan Rodgers were just plain terrible...

Nigel Adkins would fit in with the Allams ethos. Value for money employees. 2 jobs per one man. <whistle>

I would suggest that Nigel will get to start next season but may well be the first manager sacked if the Saints are struggling.

Unfortunately thats the way Football is going nowadays. The foreign owners are very impatient for success and if Saints have a bad start, Nigel could well be on his way.

He at least deserves a chance to prove himself in the Premier League though

This comes as no surprise to me. There have been little spats and the chairman is very hard nosed. Boy would some of the posters have something to complain about if he was in charge at the KC.

Nigel Atkins would be way to much for us at this moment in time. Bouyed with success his profile is very high and he would want to bring a backroom team with him. Next January may be a different kettle of fish, but he will not come here yet.

Ian Dowie was in Southampton over the weekend though!
