He's been brilliant. But management is always a work in progress scenario. For the past year I'd give him 10/10. OK, he didn't win League One, but he's got more points than Gus Poyet and Brighton. So he won his personal race.

Now for the next 12 months.
 
Couldn't they produce a little talking doll of Nigel for Christmas? Fitted with 50 of his best phrases at a push of the button. Would beat counting sheep and you'd drop off to sleep with a 'smile on your face'.
 
Fran, maybe 20 phrases would do at the moment, with the ability to download/bluetooth more to the doll with live updates. I think the Nig-doll would have to be charismatically repetitive, with the odd curved ball
 
The real problem for us, is that if he gets any better he will be poached by a Premier side, I reckon the same goes for young player Ward-Prowse, as soon as he show signs of progress the Premier vultures will start to circle.

Nigel Adkins is easily the best manager we have had in my lifetime as well. Love his postmatch interviews, and the way he is always complimentary of the opposition and often the ref. He just comes across as a really nice bloke, which is very rare in football or the media nowdays. And he has saints playing amazing football, and all of our players seem to be really enjoying it. Bring on promotion!
