Now that Alan Pardew is proving his worth in the Premier League with my beloved Newcastle United, I was hoping you guys could let me know just how good Adkins really is? Being top of the Championship following promotion last season is an incredible feat and it looks to me like you Saints can maintain it. How much credit does your manager deserve and just how highly is he rated by you the Southampton fans?
Nigel Adkins Football Genius! Pardew was perfect for what we needed him for - we'd just been relegated to League one and he instilled belief that we could go back up. Adkins has taken us to a new level. In over 30 years of watching the Saints I have not seen the sublime football I am now watching. It looks like Pardew's sacking had worked out well for us all! No7
i think most fans liked pardew, and were quite upset when he was sacked, however nigel has been a revelation since he came in and has given this club real belief that we can beat anyone
Pretty much this. I'll always appreciate and be thankful of what Pardew did for us, but Adkins is just something else. Get us promotion and he'll overtake Strachan as the best Saints manager of my era. He's quickly becoming a club legend, and certainly looks capable of bigger things than the Football League.
yeah similar comment - Pardew didnt do much wrong in my eyes and made quality signings which are the basis of our current team. Adkins came in at a difficult time- he is a genius. The kind of manager any team would be proud to have. Has us playing excellent football and he is an all round top bloke. Hope he is with us for many years to come - he could become a real legend. on Newcastle football connections how are 2 of our exes getting on - Nile Ranger and Leon Best. Believe Ranger still has a behavioural problem but Best seems to be exceeding expectations. Good luck to him.
I think he is going to go right the way to the top. I can see him being a future Liverpool or England manager as he seems to have everything needed to be a top manager.

Nigel Adkins is bloody brilliant. He is the bee's knees, the snake's hips, the kipper's knickers, the cat's whiskers, the monkey's eyebrows and the dog's bollocks. He is a f***ing genius and we love him to bits. I am pleased you have Pardew and we have Adkins for we have the better deal.
Adkins is consistently good. Where as Pardrew we could completely destroy a strong Huddersfield side then next week lose to Gillingham
Adkins is a hero. Him and NC has created an positive football club and group of people that want to achieve something big together. Very happy person along with many other thousands of fans
