...nice style Nige.
That is hilarious!...It´s strange because he looks so different yet you can tell it´s him straight away....Still had is usual calmness about him.
He really is calm. His Scouse accent is also stronger no? He hasn't changed much. Still on about trying to be the best, "Football isn't about just picking up your wages. Work hard, train hard, play hard." Also: "There's no point in a football career not being ambitious" Great stuff.
Brilliant stuff. So big Frank Worthington was our Nige's player-manager was he? I wonder if he told Nigel what a great club Southampton were...
Hooray, at least someone noticed Frank Worthington. Very intelligent and skilful footballer, who notably spearheaded Saints attack in their most successful season [so far]. I noticed there were 3 parts to that documentary. We were watching Part 2.
Blimey, Tranmere were media darlings, due to their financial woes [read familiar..?], because from a couple of seasons earlier came a BBC 40 minutes programme. Nigel's fleetingly in that too, and there are a few 1970's players I recognised. Ipswich's Bryan Hamilton is the Player-Manager during this particular documentary.
Great watch, he was rocking that jumper too. Notice he was already leading the warm up training. Wise beyond his years, except in hair styles.
Terrific stuff...that jumper could have been straight from The Killing. In the old days he could have found all copies of this and had it destroyed, but now it's out there...bet Bialkowski wants a copy. At least he doesn't have the Chairman wanting to train with him at Saints. As someone else said, Nigel's ambition is already there. Well done for finding this.
