Crikey the last bit of part 4 brought tears to my eyes. Getting soft in me old age.
Anyone recognise themselves? God what I would give for Bob Stokoe as manager now.

Just reminds us all what a little bit of success would mean to all Sunderland supporters and the city. Steve Bruce/Ellis Short please take note!

Bruce would rather tell uswe don't deserve any kind of success because we are only ****ty little Sunderland after all.

Now Martin o neill knows how to win a trophy.

The lack of comments probably means many readers had already seen this but I had never seen it before. Apart from the emotional reaction to us winning something, I found it fascinating as a piece of social history. It shows such a strong sense of community but it is quite sad how much no longer exists, like Roker Park, social clubs, proper corner shops, shipyards etc. The clothes, cars and hairstyles made me feel very OLD.
