    Nicked this from the chronicle

a reply to an article about Gyan

    the auther,,,superioR

Obviously the money means more to Gyan than football - he was being paid more to play football at Sunderland than the average man could ever dream of - doing something which many men would give anything to do - playing against some of the world's best players in front of huge crowds in magnificent stadia - now he will play in front of home crowds no bigger than 16000, in a league with only 12 teams - only 22 games a season - no big names - no international recognition - in a team that finished 10th out of 12 etc etc etc - with the piles of money flashed in front of his nose he was only ever going to be a disruptive influence in the dressing room - his promises to the fans and his manager show what a back stabbing mercenary he is and would never be welcome back.

Although I have nicked his words, its superioR to whom the credits due, not me, but I whole heartedly agree with him

It is very simple. He cannot hack the rough & tumble of the English game, plus he is bone idle.

The man had a heart the size of a kidney bean. I'm not even arsed! I'd rather see a young local lad run through brick walls for that shirt with half Gyans ability.

All supposition, yes being paid five times more may be the reason he has gone to that football backwater.

But what was the catalyst that lead up to his decision.
On numerous occasions I saw Gyan shaking his head after chasing yet another lost cause, as the ball was lumped at him.
Running his socks off chasing the ball that never seemed to come to him directly.
He has stated he wasn't happy with the way we were set up at Sunderland.
Maybe, just maybe he has voiced his worries to Bruce and got nothing back?

Listen who gives a **** now he has gone,we can do nothing about it.
If he has said to bruce i want to play for safc, and then changed his mind, bruce has done the right thing got rid of someone who does not want to be here.
Lets now get on and support safc, because at this moment in time safc needs us to be united.
What if bruce gets the chop and we don't like his replacement,do we start slagging him off,yes we are in deep ****e at the moment but so are a lot of clubs around us.
    It's early days still.
