    Fingers crossed.

It's not about success with him, it's about desire. He has to decide if he really wants to be a manager what with all the shyte that goes with it. He's financially secure for him and his family so that isn't the issue. Indeed from that point of view it's probably a negative because he will always know he can simply walk away which may taint his decision making in the future.

It's a difficult one this one and hearing him talk like this you have to agree he is right to question whether he is suited to management whether he is able to do the job or not.

Yes, but you have to make the allowance that it is the HDF.

The result might be to create panic, but the intention is different. The media need to create interest as that is how it sells it's product.

agreed but ask a journo if they think it is their job to sell to their readership and ultimately the advertisers, or indeed to inform independently and accurately. They will tell the latter everytime yet we all know that in reality they are no better than the worst kind of door to door hawker. The words: 'deception' and 'denial' spring to mind!

Absolutely but then that is the paradox. In the capitalist world the final aim is to make profit. But in some social sectors that goal is completely incompatible to the service being offered. Health, Transport, Utilities as well as the Media sit very uncomfortably at the lap of John Maynard Keynes.

Ed.: GOD! I'ts just like being back at Uni!!!

I must say I like the way NB is handling the whole situation, he is taking the pressure off himself as far as being pressed into making a decision about taking the job on a full time basis. He is showing maturity beyond his age and experience, which bodes well for the future.

So, NB is finding it quite challenging to take over the reigns at HCFC when he has never managed a club before. And he's finding being a manager completely different to being a player.

    What a scoop!!!!

    agree totally with ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ this.

what i enjoy the most about NB interviews is when he says he gets more pleasure watching the team perform well and win than anything else. words which NP was never heard to mutter from what i heard.

if your winning Nick everything else just slots into place. with Adam P. around he will remove any undue pressure from your small and inexperienced shoulders.

If he's got problems through not being used to talking to the media he must have been good at getting out of it earlier in his career when he was playing in the PL and for England.

I think we expect far too much of managers these days. His words tend to be good listening however they're presented and the performances on the pitch (thus far) speak for themselves.

If he was mumbling out of disrespect, I'd perhaps agree, but I think he's trying to be level headed about the situation.
