I would still like to say that I remember travelling confidently to Swansea after we smashed Scunthorpe 6-0 and we went on to lose that game 3-0. Lamberts confident sides arent always invincible as that day proved. Does anyone think we have a chance on saturday?
We are the new stoke and villa the new Norwich.... Lambo couldn't beat stoke last year and he won't beat us this year! It will be turgid though!
If Wigan have a strong end to the season there will be several worried sets of fans. All of a sudden Sunderland are looking over their shoulders again, joining us , Newcastle and Villa. At least it is only one place up for grabs, it has looked that way for a time but at least it is now a done deal. We have two home games to get us out of the pooh and to be honest I think our better chance is against West Brom.
I really fear for our safety. Strikers cannot score and now with Bassong injury fear we look weaker at the back. Aston Villa will come with confidence high so to win is going to be a very tall order. Sorry to say but my hopes are now with Wigan coming a cropper as they have a tough run in until the end of the season. Surely Becchio should be given a chance as Holt is so out of form that he doesn't warrant a start.
Relying on Wigan huh? Oh dear, do you know that they won 4 out of their 5 games at the end of last season? One of them was Arsenal away?
Well, we lost to Stoke away from home anyway. Lambert has a good record in these sort of crunch matches (Such as his return to Colchester and both Ipswich games) so that doesn't bode well for us. Early in the season we were very unlucky not to beat Villa at their patch, and then they mugged us a bit in the cup. If Lambert was our gaffer I know we would be out for revenge, but I am not sure if Hughton gets that; only time will tell!
I presume your board then charged reserve team prices to get in, and Who-tun came out and said i don't care about this result so i'm going to throw the game? Also, these 'reserves' are players that most of you have been clamouring for a league start, so that argument doesn't hold much credit.
Guru, while you are in your Jack Russell with a bone mode, I really can't be arsed! Say what you like, we all know you're a very poor wum so you'll get no response!
Anyone who consistently spells names incorrectly "for a laugh" (still astonished that you find it funny btw) also gets no credit for anything they ever say
I'm willing to give him credit Thai, if he ever says anything that deserves it! Seen nothing yet though!
So would I Dave but all we get is the same old regurgitated boring drivel. A bit like a lazy journalist only without the wit and intelligence
The only time Villa have managed back to back wins in the premier league this season was when they played Reading & QPR, both of whom are now relegated. Just because they beat Sunderland 6-1 does not mean they will beat City in their next game. Earlier on in the season they beat the mighty Liverpool 3-1 and then went and lost their next games 8-0 and 4-0. To me Villa's results this season have been a bit inconsistant, lets hope City can take advantage of this on saturday and Villa are complacent after their result on Monday
