He played well ('standing out' as he does) in 'our' comfortable (in the end) victory in the F.A. Cup at Witton Albion on sarrada, too . . . . and I'll be there when he captains the side again tomorrow night against Osset Albion :emoticon-0105-wink:

The bandwagon is rolling, and picking up speed, at the moment :emoticon-0100-smile

'Sheels 3-1 Osset Albion last night, and Hoolioooooo strolled through the entire match . . . . running the midfield with ease, he was definably (yes it's a word) my M.o.M. :emoticon-0105-wink:

Osset scored almost completely 'out of the blue' (to make it 2-1) having been almost completely dominated and showing very little ambition.

Teams seem to be trying to stop The Mariners from playing rather than trying to win these days . . . . word is spreading, so it seems.

Five games played, and won, and top of the league is a blinking good start to this season after last season's promotion :emoticon-0100-smile

Good to hear, I used to go and watch Shields when I lived in Wardley as a teenager, that was 50 years ago so I suppose they've come on a lot since then.

They've (we've) had loads of 'ups and downs' in that period, but the relatively new owner/chairman has so much ambition for the club that it seems like 'the only way is up' for the foreseeable future :emoticon-0105-wink:

I've been watching what's happening with Shields, with interest. A lot of people around this area say that they'd not want their team to become a Chelsea or Man City, but it's showing with what's happening at Shields, that success is all people want, regardless of how that success is achieved.

I think this area would buzz if Newcastle or Sunderland were to have a rich Arab investor.

South Shields had a team in the football league but due to financial reasons they moved to and changed their name to Gateshead.

He would be great to have at our club now, playing for the love of the game and not money(well not £740,000 a week like Neymar !) he could come back as coach one day. I always thought Reid should have left him in midfield though and he could have done loads more for us. OOOOOOOOOOlio a legend. Imagine if we draw South shields in the F A cup !
