The unlikely club that made me care about football again...….. Football fans often seem on a permanent nostalgia kick, and there’s a reason for this. The sport in its current form can feel unexciting, its fans distant, with the game itself becoming more sports entertainment than sport. “The game’s gone” is a constant refrain from people disillusioned with elaborate transfer ‘reveals’ and clubs opening new ‘retail spaces’ before the actual stadium. Here's another article titled ' A View From PU' which is a review of our five matches in October. It's not Clive W, it's by a fan named Steve Hardy. https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/queensparkrangers/news/48927
Interesting read.......there is a different feel about the place lately and I am glad he's caught the bug. I think its not so much about winning its more about doing everything not to lose....or even concede which has impressed and made me proud. Hey, this is QPR.....could all change very soon!!!!
''I didn't like to see us holding the ball up by the corner flag for the last five minutes. Three nil up at home with your tails up and we're doing this instead of going for a fourth goal which we were fully capable of. I don't know whether the players take it upon themselves or the instruction comes from the bench. Maybe it was to preserve our clean sheet to maintain confidence rather than letting a late goal in which would've taken the gloss off of the evening. Another after thought is that maybe it was the team putting into practise in seeing a game out and treating it like we had a one goal lead for future occasions.'' I've just realised that I wrote the above on the Sheffield Wednesday match day thread. My last sentence must of been the reason, in preparation of the Villa game just three days later. I didn't want to put this on an old MD thread, so I thought I'd put it on here.
Can’t complain when you’re reading reports on such a successful month.. well done Steve and the team! Enough said. Let’s hit November.
