To be honest, I think £35 million is a bit over-priced for him, but he's incredibly important to you and there was a danger that if he left, you could have been sucked in to the relegation zone.

When you consider the PL is worth around £40 million a season, maybe MA has at last taken a sensible, long term view, in that it makes better sense financially to turn down the money, and avoid the risk of going down. Also pointless selling him for that amount of money when you've only got a couple of hours to replace him.

And who knows - if he scores more goals between now and the end of the season, then it'll add a few more million to his pricetag if you do decide to cash in on the summer.

It'll also be nice to see Liverpool suffer up front for the rest of the season <laugh>
