http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/latest-news/agger-why-i-declined-brondby-pay Good on you lad, thought i'd highlight this as its quickly highlightened when a player is a di ck Now keep injury free for rest of the season!
Jeez Eric, Beckham made his gesture for a tax break for himself and PSG, our kind players did it out of the goodness of their hearts.
Hero. It's similar to Beckham's deal, just without all the PR fanfare and headlines that obviously had to go with that. Seems like there's truer feeling behind this, especially since Brondby are in trouble and it's Agger's alma mater, whereas Beckham's got no ties to PSG apart from going to Paris fashion week, and the club have got all that government oil money being pumped in.
If Agger can stay injury free (like he has so far this season - touch wood) then he can be a legend for us in the future
My favourite part of this article was the bit where someone posted the story for those who can't see link, so they can see what's going on.
Why cant you see the link? Daniel Agger has revealed why he turned down a payment owed to him from former club Brondy. southampton, agger Most Recent News 'He could have played in any LFC side… Ayre hails 'colossal' Carragher 10 reasons why we love Carra LFC statement on Jamie Carragher Rodgers: Carragher has big role to pl… Liverpool's No.5 arrived at Anfield in 2006 from the Danish club and they are currently suffering from financial problems. Brondby had been ordered to offer a lump sum to all current and former players as a result of failing to pay supplementary holiday pay, pensions and other benefits since 2004. However, the Denmark captain has refused the payment as a mark of respect to his old club. "I am not going to claim any money from the club," said Agger. "The club is in trouble and needs help. And I want to help. I hope a lot of other people are interested in helping too. "Brondby are an important club, not just in football, but also for a lot of people in the local community. "It is a huge organisation with a huge network. You can tell by the amount of people showing up to the games. "I hope a lot of players will review their decision to claim the money. It won't be good for anyone if Brondby are not to be found in the best Danish division.
Because I couldn't be arsed to divert on my phone. Class act is our Danny. One of my favourite Liverpool players. Cheers doc.
fair play. ok so on injury free... we can see who glen jonhson has hit top form cos he's injury free for the whole seaosn and vital IMO to us. we can see how gerrard's done the same even though i still say he shouldn't play all 90mins every week to keep him going and we can see that agger has imporved somewhat. I don't think he's at his best yet though... i think we've heard about him being "managed" by the club so i suspect he's got an ongoing long term back issue there that's hampering him. I think his shooting is gone frnakly. very innaccurate lately so i wonder if thats to do with it.... hopefully he can improve his form and get a bit dirtier in his approach to general spoiling.
No mate, his only other club has been Brondby. From their youth to first team then to us (Damn my hangover, thought you were on about Agger . You talking about Molby?)
