Just been on Twitter and put in Nice attack to see what happened and was sickened by the video i watched. Dozens and dozens of people scattered all over the street dead or injured. Looks like a massacre.
Holy ****. Just hearing about this. The poor people of France. How many more of these attacks. Shocking.
Shocking and tragic. Britain will inevitably be hit again at some point, but you have to wonder if the beleaguered French have suffered more because their security forces are inferior to ours.
I think the problem France has is it has so many borders it is difficult to stop these terrorists entering the country as well as they already have massive numbers of 2nd and 3rd generation descendants from their colonies, many of whom are Muslims and already disaffected. I remember back in the 60s there were many bomb attacks carried out by the OAS, so there is a long history of terrorism there, it was as bad as our problem with the IRA. You can only feel sympathy for the French people, hard to see how they will contain this...
World leaders need to make a concerted effort to wipe out this vermin. Whatever they are doing now, needs to be multiplied. Admittedly, we have an almost impossible target but we must explore all options, if we don't, these attacks will continue. Our thoughts go out to the families in Nice.
More innocent lives tossed aside without so much as a thought. There will be many children dead - the most innocent of all. RIP and agree with all the above. Perhaps it is time for a penny in the pound income tax increase to protect ourselves better?
Durbar, my opinion, because France is always one of the first countries to launch wars/attacks on Muslim countries, as part of this "war on terror" Look at the countries that are actively taking part in this "war on terror" ? All have acts of "terrorism" upon them ? Coincidence ?
Horrific news, horrific scenes.......again. No matter what their religion, no matter what their beliefs, terrorists of all kinds are utter scum. My thoughts go out to all affected and to the innocent people in France in general. As said by several posters already, whatever we are doing to protect ourselves from these feral monsters, whatever steps the free world is taking to take these abnormalities down needs to be increased however possible.
a leading French security person, in the eqivilant of our MI5, has said he expects civil war in his country between the Far Right and the Muslim population. Sadly, incidents like last night will only bring it nearer
