    Makes a good read in all honesty!

    And as our beloved team brace themselves for battle:

    Battle Cry

    More than half beaten, but fearless,
    Facing the storm and the night;
    Breathless and reeling but tearless,
    Here in the lull of the fight,
    I who bow not but before thee,
    God of the fighting Clan,
    Lifting my fists, I implore Thee,
    Give me the heart of a Man!

    What though I live with the winners
    Or perish with those who fall?
    Only the cowards are sinners,
    Fighting the fight is all.
    Strong is my foe--he advances!
    Snapt is my blade, O Lord!
    See the proud banners and lances!
    Oh, spare me this stub of a sword!

    Give me no pity, nor spare me;
    Calm not the wrath of my Foe.
    See where he beckons to dare me!
    Bleeding, half beaten--I go.
    Not for the glory of winning,
    Not for the fear of the night;
    Shunning the battle is sinning--
    Oh, spare me the heart to fight!

    Red is the mist about me;
    Deep is the wound in my side;
    "Coward" thou criest to flout me?
    O terrible Foe, thou hast lied!
    Here with my battle before me,
    God of the fighting Clan,
    Grant that the woman who bore me
    Suffered to suckle a Man!

    Jamie is spot on here. I would love it if we can get top 4...but we wont win the CL next year. It would be good for our finances and the attraction for better players...better players for what? A cup? Which we can win tomorrow!

    Lets ****ing beat Cardiff and push Chelsea and Arsenal to the limit!

    It's our chance to give ourselves a kick up the arse and sort it out now, time to win some silverware and get ourselves together going forward!

    If you lot turn up with the right attitude you will win...and ANY trophy is worth winning....only plastic twat fans mock it as a 'mickey mouse cup'.

    Most of our lads have never won a trophy and it would be nice to get the monkey off our back. I reckon that a win tomorrow would give us a real chance of also landing the FA cup, as the lads would have the confidence of knowing that they are capable of winning more trophies.

    If you offered me 4th in the league and crushing defeats in the next CC and FA Cup matches, I'd snatch that and run off happy as a pig in warm poo.

    But it's not on offer so let's just win tomorrow :)

    Enjoy being a fan my friend! It is games like this that get the pulse racing and give you the warm fuzzy feeling when you think back! I don't look back and think 'what a great day it was when we scraped a win against Villa to help qualify for the CL', but i do look back and remember Gerrard's strike against West Ham!

    A couple of things to bear in mind about our hopes for fourth though:

    • Which defense would you rather have? Ours is leagues ahead of Arsenal and Chelsea's at the moment and could be crucial in the run-in
    • Which front line would you rather have? Torres is out of form and Drogba really is starting to show his age. Arsenal are over-reliant on Van persie. If Carroll does actually continue to improve we have him, Suarez, Bellamy, and Kuyt who has a history of important goals.
    • We have a genuinely top class midfielder to lead us. Lampard isn't getting a game, Arsenal sold Fabregas, but we have Stevie G.
    • Both of them have to come to Anfield

    We should be favorites for 4th spot at this point, and it will be disappointing if we don't get it as well as 1 or 2 cups!
