Probably a load of bollocks. But if it was true would you be pleased?

Not only is he the perfect type of person for the role as an astute businessman who has worked in football his whole life, he's big Niall one of the modem legends of the club.

So I'd be happy with it, he'd have to do it full time though and he's got a nice punditry career on the go so I'd be surprised if he went for it.

The reason he gave was to concentrate on his business ventures. I'd have him back, at least he knows football unlike the saggy tits.

After the contracts he handed out, the ones which means we're still playing catch up now? Nah thanks.

If it was me that had made those mistakes I would have learned from them, wouldn't expect any less from Niall.

We love him but I think we should cut the sentimental umbilical chord.

He left the club with a roster full of poor players, running in the red with debt and a bloated wage bill and actually said "Everything is in place for Sunderland to really make a statement, which was always my aim"

He's failed in business since, that doesn't sound like learning to me. He's now CEO of Q-sat which are surprise surprise hemorrhaging money. Love the bloke but he's a walking financial disaster. Loses follow him around like a bad smell. Love the bloke but I'm sticking with no

Can we have somebody who knows what they're doing please?

    Definite no from me.

We should be looking forwards not backwards.

You need a marketing expert with fresh ideas rather than a toss pot who's gonna moan at fans who watch football in the pub.

Broadband mate. That's Q Sat. He ****ed a company loan up last year and cost the company 1.4m Euro in one foul swoop.

I love the guy because he 'saved' us by bringing in Drummaville.

Dragons Den style, "it's a no from me, I'm out".

Let's get someone who actually has an idea of running a football club. Not a lawyer or ex footballer who's failed previously at it.

Nostagia is always tempting but there must be loads of people more suitable. His companies have only netted him tiny profits but that **** up last year with the Q Sat loans has exposed his business nativity once again.

Maybe if he spent more time on strategy and less time constructing elaborate nativities he might have been ok.

Seriously though I do agree with you.

Nice ambassador job would do him lovely. Nice bloke, club legend, friendly people person and wouldn't have to use his brain.
