Anyone looking forward to the start of the new season?

I'm in limbo this year, as a lapsed Browns fan (due to the sickening QB situation), I'm not sure who to get behind.

I'm leaning very heavily towards the Buffalo Bills but it feels a bit wrong to jump on the bandwagon in the year where they're going to go back to the Superbowl. Josh Allen is superb though and their defence was brilliant against the Rams on Thursday night.

I also think the Chargers and 49ers will have strong seasons again this year along with the regulars (Packers, Bucs, Rams). I think the Chiefs may slip up, but you can't write off Mahomes. The Eagles are the only other team that I think may go deep into the post-season.

There's no teams that stand out as a potential surprise (like the Bengals last season) in my mind, but the beauty of the NFL is that you can never know for sure.

Anyway, I have 2 bets on for today:

49ers -6.5 @ Bears
Eagles -5.5 @ Lions
Jaguars +3.0 @ Commanders

7.5/1 for the treble

Anytime TD scorers

Christian McCaffrey
Jaylen Waddle
Joe Mixon

8.75/1 for the treble.

I never watch it fully, more dip in and out. I do keep an eye on Green Bay. Have done since 2000. Purely because I became friends with a lad from Minnesota ( real friends, not this online gaming crap), anyway he said he knew of Newcastle before living in Sunderland so liked Newcastle United. He was also a Vikings fan, so naturally I said I followed the Packers.

Ridiculous action as usual.

Bengals getting a TD in the last second to tie it and then having the kick blocked is insane.

Saints blocking a Field Goal at the death to win by a point.

Mayfield running a TD and completing a throw for a 75 yard TD to give the Panthers the lead, only for a rookie kicker to nail a 58 yard field goal and win it.

Such a brilliant sport for pure entertainment and drama.

Edit: The Bengals missing a 28 yard field goal attempt to win the game. The game is the Steelers to win but they hit the sticks with their own kick. Not sure I've seen anything like it.
