Alright lads and lasses, Mentioned a few times over the summer I'd set up a thread to discuss this season. It can be as detailed or as conversational as people want. I'm not taking ownership of it, just setting it up . Don't follow a team personally, just enjoy watching it. Superbowl Outright (best odds) Ravens 13/2 Bills 7/1 Eagles 7/1 Chiefs 17/2 Packers 14/1 Lions 14/1 49ers 20/1 Commanders 20/1 Rams 20/1 Bengals 22/1 30/1 bar Personally I'd like to see the Bills or Lions do it this year. However I think the Lions may fall short, with their usual injuries taking its toll, with how hard they play. I can see the Rams going far in the play offs but falling short too, McVey knows what he's doing. The Eagles are a joke with their running power, but it's so hard to repeat. Chiefs will probably fall short too, imo. Ravens always seem to throw it away in big games too. I havent really caught up with the draft and trades, with what's been going on at home and the wizards splashing the cash. Packers at 14s is an absolute joke though, unless I've totally missed something. Some cracking games to start off with too. Ravens Bills on Monday probably the highlight. Channel 5 have the rights to games now, aswell as sky, but I think they're trying to make it more "fun" with inplay viewer competitions. Doesn't really sound like my bag, but each to their own. Enjoy.
I'm a niners fan so hoping we bounce back but not confident at all Definitely wouldn't mind the Bills or Lions winning it Hard to see past the Eagles as their Offence is realistic
The Packers traded for Micah Parsons from the Cowboys which is so unlike them so they clearly fancy their chances to win now. Ravens and Bills fall short too often to be the favourites imo. Lions probably right in the window at the moment and Commanders have an outside chance if Daniels steps up again from last year. Chiefs always have a chance with Mahomes but It's hard to look past The Eagles though for me.
Eagles are the best team, imo. Just really hard to do it twice. It's easier to say than do, but surely teams will have been looking all summer at how to reduce their running power (you'll never stop them) Even with Micah Parsons I cant have the Packers at all. 49ers are probably an outside shout. Got decimated by injuries last season.
My youngest son is right into this, his team is The Saint's, poor sod. He even dragged my young lady and the father in law down to Tottenham's stadium to watch a game. Apparently it's a much quicker game in real life than it appears on TV. Must admit I quite like watching Red Zone on a Sunday night
14/1 on Detroit looks massive. For NFL fans I urge you to watch the Cowboys documentary on Netflix superb watch. From day 1 Jerry Jones to current it’s fascinating.
Lots of question marks over the lions due to the amount of key members of staff they've lost plus they are in a really tough division Worth a fiver tho as they have some unreal players
Aye could be that they missed their moment. Hard for me to look past Eagles but as someone who appreciates individual brilliance can’t ever rule out the Chiefs. Haven’t really followed the drafts and moves so I’ll have a catch up before I hang my hat on anyone this season.
I've always had a watch on the Chicago Bears.....poor season last year..don't expect any better this time...but I'll follow them again.
Think the Chiefs time is over, they lucked their way through last seasons play offs and got completely done in the SB and yes, I will say it... When they didn't have the officials on their side! The Bills done what the Bills do and choked in the AFC Championship game. As people have said, it's hard to look past the Eagles again but outsiders with a chance have to be Washington, Bills if they don't toss it away in the big games and Ravens. Green Bay adding Parsons could be a game changer for them. Just can't wait for it to get started again! Tonight is too late for me but NFL Sunday's are back!
Chicago sports is in the gutter across the board it’s a real shame as it’s a proper sports city. They can’t get anything right and haven’t for years now.
Don't follow the other sports, but I go back to the days of Walter Payton and William Perry when I first got an interest in NFL. Also, the Bears were owned and run, at Board level, by a hundred year old lady who'd had a dozen or more children,I think. She passed away a while ago,but it intrigued me,as otherwise, other than Al Capone and Eliot Ness,Hank Voight and the blues music,I have no interest in Chicago and I certainly wouldn't want to go there.
I’m a child of Jordan mate so been into Bulls since as about 10, love the NBA. Been Chicago 3 times and trust me it’s fantastic city there’s so much going on. Stunning in places with the lakes and canals and insane for food and for live music etc. It’s one of the best cities I’ve visited, let down by the sports teams.
Interesting how Ben Johnson does as a Head Coach, I think the Bears are going to be unreal or shocking - no in between
They were shocking for most of last year.....whilst I don't think they'll be unreal, an improvement might be on the cards. One of the great things about the draft is that it tends to even things up eventually.
