I agree, he is a good player but he is also very over rated imo and not worth close to the 46 million Barca paid for him.
He cant go wrong with the Barca team around him the Spanish league, how will he cope with the bigger teams in Europe is a different matter
Barca win 8 of 8 and it's oh the spanish league, United were to do that it's brilliant United The PL is less competitive than La Liga as the spread of titles in Spain shows in the last 20 years compared to the PL. I would say that if you popped Real and barca into the PL no other team would win the title for a decade at least, making the PL the very 2 horse race you call La Liga and the title spread in the PL shows it's been a 1 horse race over the past 20 years
Funny because since the PL was born, the same amount of teams have won both leagues. Classic Sisu! Not to mention, 2 of the La Liga teams who have also won La liga in the past 20 years are now ****e with the other one having no chance of winning it. Any one of 6 teams has a shot at the title this season in the PL.
He struggled to make an impact against Celtic in the CL last week, apart from being the target of the offence that got Brown sent off. I don't think Barcelona in generaly though are nearly as good without Messi, he's what makes them tick. IMO Barcelona without Messi are just another good team but with Messi they're brilliant.
I had to read that twice cos it seemed like utter bollocks after the first read. Sadly it only got worse on a re-read....
This. How can La Liga be anywhere near as competitive as the Premier League at the moment. I can almost guarantee that no team other than Barca or Real will win La Liga in the next 10 years. I couldnt even tell you who will win the PL THIS year, its that close between 4 or 5 teams. I think Arsenal, Chelsea and City are main contenders for me. Longer shots, but still with a decent chance are Spurs, Utd and Liverpool. Heck even Everton and Southampton have looked good so far on their day.
