I believe next week will be the week...... we will sign a handful of players and i think 3 will go out Bruce Bromby Gradle .....sorry to say but i think he will........ in DM LB CB GK that will be it....3 out 4 in..... Job done. I just dont want montgomory........ he is average at best.... think then we will add a couple of kids on loan from the prem..... any money we have should be spent on the three postions above and strengthan the back line
Doubt it very much, we will sell a few or let others go, but as to actually bringing in players, they will be either free from other clubs or short term loans.
We have £3m in the bank, and even last season we still spent maybe £700-800k on players as well as bringing in a long-term loanee in Sanchez Watt, so I think you're being a tad harsh there.
They also declare that every player Larry's brought in has been over 30, where with the few 30+ year olds in the squad Larry did sign most of those have turned 30 since they signed. They like to conveniently forget Somma, Gradel, Bruce, Nunez, Sam, Kasper, Watt etc. Personally I don't think any of our top players will go, but I think one CB will. I'm not sure about Montgomery after turning us down last season but, while he may not be the most skillful, what he does is exactly what we need and he does that well.
I dont know enough about montgomery, i had a lengthy conversation with someone on here about him, but we definately need a player like him, im also not even sure we need a CB, i know thats a big call but we have kisnorbo (we all know what he can do its just a case of whether hes fit) O'Brien (who played in the premier league for a very long time), Bruce who showed signs of being a good CB as did Bromby, but we also have lees who i think will play a part in our season this year after getting player of the year at bury and im hoping he does well. In saying all this though we do need a keeper, left back and a couple of midfielders with hopefully lichaj as well
I think Gradel will go this week, along with Bruce. Hate to see Gradel go but I can see it sadly. Fingers crossed. Cant see why we cant go for Mackail Smith, Brighton are set to sign him ffs!!! why Brighton. We cld swap Paynter for Monty (as a 3rd choice DM, ideal for cup games or last 10mins of winning games) Mackail Smith is better than Paynter so it wld b good management in my eyes. We need better players than all of them tbh but for squad players its ok
