We were never going to be 5th today. But, next weekend, Arsenal have got Man U at home, and we're at Fulham. So, this time next week, if we can win (I'm feeling another Best goal), we should be fifth - I don't reckon Arsenal can beat Man U.

Can't see us beating Fulham, a very tough game.

However we have Blackburn away the week after, which I believe we will win.

Then we have Villa at home, then Spurs away, then Wolves at home.

So apart from Spurs, we have some very winnable games coming up.

    At home we have

    Villa
    Wolves
    Sunderland
    Norwich

    All coming up/

Being 5th/6th in mid feb looks realistic.

    Fulham- Lose
Blackburn - Win (They won't have Yak and probably won't have Hoilett and Samba)
    Villa - win/draw*
    Spurs - Lose
    Wolves - win/draw*

    * we'll win one and probably draw or lose the other.. or draw both.. I can just see it.

Is how I see the next 5 games going. To be honest I think we'll just maintain a steady 7th

    Fulham- Draw
    Blackburn - Win
    Villa - Win
    Spurs - Lose
    Wolves - Draw

That would be acceptable. Wolves can be unpredictable for me and Fulham are amazing at home. The rest explain themselves!

They've won 4, drawn 3 and lost 3. Their last loss at home was only a few weeks ago - a 0-5 thrashing to Man Utd. Others were Spurs and Everton.

    In-terms of draws:

    Villa
    Blackburn
    Man City

Imo, we can play just as well, if not better, than Everton, Villa and definitely Blackburn, so if they could pick up wins and draws, so can we.

Think we will lose to Fulham especially if we play like we did today. Plus we don't know the extent of Cabaye's injury, if he is out who will come in?

    Vuckic? Gosling? Abeid?

Fulham away is a tough game , we don't do very well at Craven Cottage.

Abeid for me. And I don't think he'll be fit, if he couldn't walk today he'll probably miss a few days training at least. I'd rather just let him sit out a game. That's assuming it's not a serious injury, they didn't sound too concerned.

To be honest, if we get 3 points from the next two games I'll be happy.

Fulham will want to bounce back from defeat at Blackburn. They play very good football and Dempsey is very dangerous. If QPR had a player like him who could finish they'd have scored today.

A win at Blackburn is more realistic, but by no means a certainty. Yakubu being suspended is a definite bonus.

We'll lose to Spurs, and get 4 points from the games v Wolves and Villa.

if sunderland carry their form on to the derby, it should be a really good game.

also i have a feeling we will have a player in before our next game.. strange feeling it will be a striker.. probably Erdinc.

im feeling pretty confident for the next month

We are in such a good position that with 10-15mil spent now, we could have a real go for europe. without it we will no doubt just fall away

True. Imagine we got the 3 points at Carrow Road if we'd had the squad to cover the injury crisis for that game. We'd have won there.

    Promising times tho.
