United are in all sorts of trouble on and off the pitch. Firing Ole is not the best thing for us as he was very obviously out of his depth at Utd, and they couldn't or wouldn't play for him. A New Manager with excellent credentials will take over , not for this game, but for certain he will have spoken to and wound up the players ,so I do expect a "New Boss" bump in performance.
We have looked excellent all over the pitch , but have lost Kante and Chilwell, and good as their replacements are, it must throw our momentum out quite a bit.
So a more interesting game than a week ago, plus Lukaku and Havertz fit again, so Audi will no doubt spring a couple of surprises with his line up.
    My guess is
    Mendy
    Dave Christensen Rudi
    James Jorginho RLC Alonso
    Ziyech Werner CHO

Mount and Chalobah "rested" on the bench with Lukaku and hopefully Kovacic and Havertz.

Trepidations here, seems to me the usual boom and burst optimism that has befallen our club has come to pass. Hear me out, I'm not pessimistic, just a reallistic so here is my prediction 4-0 Carefree

Pretty sure Kante is injured and out for a couple more weeks.

I think Saul may fill in behind Alonso to replace Chillwell for the coming weeks. He seems a better defender than attacker.

Definitely bad given OGS is gone and the amount of injuries we have.

Yeah, checked your squad when nobody answered (until you), good player and will make a first 11 player when up to speed.

Poor result all things considered. City well and truly in the driving seat now.

Back to square one problem, where will the goals come from??
United were very poor, ,but stuck to their plan and today exposed a long term weakness, lack of goalscorers. None of our front players looked like scoring today, none of the midfielders seemed prepared to shoot, always looking for one pass too many. Rudiger was our biggest goal threat. The Team play actually looked quite good, but we were wasteful and lacked creativity on goal. I'm coming round to seeing Werner and Ziyech go, so much promise yet so little result. My main criticism is that everything came down the sidelines, with very little direct ,through -the -middle attack. Made us predictable, and easier to defend, which United to their credit did . 13 or 14 corners and no goals is not impressive, and anging shot after shot into a wall of red players not the answer either.
Back to Cobham to sort things out, looking for a better display next time.

79% of our goal contributions come from defenders, that's just not sustainable of the course of the season. We simply do not have good enough attackers to seriously threaten City or Liverpool over 38 games.

Don't want to be over critical, but you are spot on.Utterly useless strike force.
Ziyech doesn't score, CHO doesn't score, Mount doesn't score, Werner doesn't score, Pulisic a little better, James scores, Jorginho doesn't score, Kovacic doesn't score, RLC doesn't even try to score, Kante rarely scores, Chillwell scores, Chalobah scores, Lukaku doesn't score enough, Havertz doesn't do anything,
Utterly hopeless list of players who look great but never score.
Time to rid us of the pretenders and get in some genuine class.
Two years in and Audi still doesn't have a goal scorer.
Can't go on any longer or we'll be back where we started.
