Let's put our form into perspective, and our squad....if we can't beat both Wigan and Fulham at home,we do not deserve to be in the Premier League next season, considering the money our club has spent! We must win our next two games, and then everyone can relax and start preparing for next season.I,like many others, did not expect a relegation-battle this season, but that is where we are.Somehow, the lad's confidence must be restored for the next few weeks. How???I don't know the answer to that.Perhaps, our first choice defenders should play against our first-choice attack in training. At least,we'd give one of them a boost!!!
I'm already perparing for next season and it won't be watching Sunderland. After over fifety years as a fan I have finally come to the conclusion I'm a mug for putting up with it for so long
Like Micky I am ready for next season, mind I will still be in my seat supporting the lads and we will not lose next weekend
we will all be ready for next season come what may but like you syd so many disapointments come on lets start again and hope
Fifty years of following my beloved Sunderland and one thing I have learnt is that we never seem to have an easy end to a season.Be it fighting for promotion or against relegation somehow us the fans are always left biting our nails! I still believe we can be in the premier league next season, but the game next week is now massive, lose that one and I may start to lose the last of my belief.
Are you really telling mickey, with over half a century of supporting Sunderland, he's not a real fan? You've got a bloody gall.
Mickey ~ Surely you've seen worse than that in all the time you've been supporting? Take it on the chin man and get back next year.
probably a nervous draw on saturday followed by wins v fulham and wolves. I reckon we'll lose our away games, anyway that's my prediction
As Sunderland fans we all must be used to this by now - dont know how many false dawns I've witnessed. I still think we will be OK this season - some glimmers of hope from Saturdays game. Then we can look forward to next season when we will hopfully have more luck!
I too have been a fan of the lads for over 50 years (over 60 in fact) and I can honestly say that we've seen worse times than this. When we were relegated in '57 was bad and when we were managed by McNenemy my skin crawled. It's got to get a lot worse before we drop to a low equalling those times. Keep the faith we'll be okay.
been better shooting him all those years ago, now that was a false dawn, so much hope and we did drop like a stone
