Pretty tricky next three games. Wolves at home, Forrest away and then Ipswich at home. Realistically, what do we expect from these three games? It would be great to win them all but that seems fairly unlikely. I think it might be wise to focus on the following three games - Fulham at home and Bolton and Wednesday away - to begin to secure Championship status. I'd be very happy with 4 points from the first set of three but I suspect it will be 2. I would then hope for 6 from the second set. 8 points take us to 42. I guess we would then be looking at home game wins against Brentford, Charlton and Reading for the final push to safety with draws and the odd away win too - hopefully around 52 points. I wish we were in a more secure position than this!
It's such a tight division that pretty much every game is as hard/easy as any other. Just put the best 11 out, have a go and see what happens. We're good enough to beat a dismal Forest side and get four points from the other two. We probably won't but if they just look like they're trying to attack a bit and not play like ****s I'll be happy
No reason we shouldn't expect 7 points from those 3 games, 6 from the two at home and a point at Forest.
Well, I would thing that the hardest game in those six (at least in theory) is away to Sheffield Wednesday. On paper the other five are quite winnable. We would do very well to win half of the six though. I would be estatic with seven points from them! Of course, away to Wednesday will probably be our only win!
It is very easy to get over-excited about this comprehensive win today. But it should give the players a lot of belief, and hopefully JFH play slightly more attacking lineups. But if Polter keeps contributing the way he is, it is impossible not to start him. So I will go with a conservative 4 points.
The Poulter Bolter keeps scoring? Sincerely hope so. I'd settle for a win, a draw and a loss, to whoever. 4 points minimum, 6 points maximum.
I'm sure we will sell a few more players so just surviving this season is the priority. The score flattered us yesterday and we will probably struggle in most games.
