Let's look ahead and be positive. Assuming he does go, who do you want? My pick is Paco Jemez (10-1) with the vaourites being Mclaren and Laudrup. Yakin was also mentioned by Peach who's in at 8-1. So who do you want and why? The reason I want Jamez is because he's the most similar manager to MoPo on the continent at the moment with a team who monopolise possession and press high. No moaning allowed! Just say who who would want and why...
1. Thomas Tuchel (unfortunately likely taking a year away from football) 2. Paco Jemez 3. Murat Yakin 4. Uwe Rosler 5. Neil Lennon
I think I speak for the majority of fans on here, when I say I would like Avram Grant. He was a Champions League finalist during his tenure at Chelsea. And I personally feel he would be a great suit to our system of high pressure and passing football.
Don't know much about Tuchel, doing a google now...can you fill in some colour as to what he'd bring to the table tactically etc?
Positive, pressing football like that of all the good, young, forward-thinking managers. He's had great success with it too. I'm mainly going on conversations I've had with Mainz fans which have completely sold him to me. Jemez would be a very similar thing I reckon.
I think we should appoint a caretaker for a couple months and then go for Pochettino once he's sacked in September.
Do we get to vote then? Yakin please, though I'll settle for anyone but Redknapp (we'll probably get Chris Hughton).
Can I add a poll post-post?! Might keep away some of the comedians too. Wigley was funny, Wotte had me in fits. If someone mentiosn Magiltonmy sides might split
I thought i would hate the idea of having Mclaren as manager but i think he could actually keep us in the top 10. These other guys being mentioned i have never heard of which isn't a bad thing it just means i can't have an opinion on them.
I wouldn't mind the wally with the brolly mate, his record (at club level) speaks for itself. I doubt Derby would be too keen to have him talk to us though. Not that that seems to matter in modern football.
McClaren, Moyes, de Boer )) or some unknown foreigner who turns out be the the dog's wotsits (if he could only speak Spanish I would be eternally grateful...missing David already ).
