Season defining for me. If we are in the bottom 3 after this we are as good as down. In terms of points haul i’d say my estimate will be; Brighton (H) 0 Southampton (A) 1 Watford (H) 1 Bournemouth (H) 0 Burnley (A) 0 West Ham (H) 3 5 points Max.
Brighton (H) 3 Southampton (A) 0 Watford (H) 1 Bournemouth (H) 1 Burnley (A) 0 West Ham (H) 3 8 points
Brighton (H) 3 Southampton (A) 1 Watford (H) 3 Bournemouth (H) 3 Burnley (A) 1 West Ham (H) 3 14 points
Brighton (H) 1 Southampton (A) 1 Watford (H) 0 Bournemouth (H) 0 Burnley (A) 3 West Ham (H) 1 6 points being optimistic more like 2-4
18 points. All wins. What's the issue? Joselu will score 3 goals, Muto 2 and Rondon will score 2 as well. If he is lucky Perez might score as well.
Think we'll probably bag 10 or 11 points in the next 6 games. We want to be winning at least 5 of the next 10 leading up to Liverpool on Boxing Day.
Adrift by Christmas ................. panic spending by Ashley ................... relegated with 4 games to go ................. farewell Rafa, it's been emotional ................ Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome Steve Bruce ................"
It's Rafa though. He usually finds a way. I think injuries to key players is the bigger worry for me - we will need every last scrap of effort to stay up.
I wonder if Ashley's leaked comments that he will have a more hands on role will mean the purse strings will be loosened some more?
If you mean, will Ashley belatedly spend some money because his gamble appears to be back-firing and he is ****ting himself that we are about to go down again and the value of the club is about to plummet and he will have to find another manager and throw at least 40 million quid at it to try and get promotion, which will be harder than ever next season .................... then yes, the purse strings will be untied ........................ loosened some more implies that they are anything other than tied up with a double knot.
by double knot would suggest that we didn't spend at all. I'm still peeved that Rafa spent £12M on Murphy and then bought Atsu!
I think Rafa will get out of his early season funk and get the points required. The signs were there at Old Trafford he was being more positive. He still made mistakes and subs were crap, but to be fair that was the same for most of last season and he still kept us up. Crucial 2-3 months though and a bad run now after the difficult start and we may struggle to turn the ship around.
Agree that he will do enough to keep us up. Huddersfield and Cardiff will go imo. 1 of us soton & fulham will join them for the drop.
