Will be a good player for you. Scored crucial goals at QPR. In the Championship the goal against Watford for Promotion. Last season the winner at Everton and the crucial goal against Wigan.
On the os as well. http://www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10335~2898676,00.html Also confirmation that KimBo is on his way with all the red tape cleared. South Korean Kim will fly into the UK tomorrow after finally gaining international clearance. He is set to make his Cardiff debut against Wolves a week on Sunday. Good player - clever and very good in the dressing room apparently - Warnock tried to take him to Leeds because he can play a few positions. With the South Korean Boy coming in also I think playoffs will be a minimum achievement this season for the Bloobirds!!!
27 PL sarts last season and he's another creative/goal scoring option. As Ellers says sucess or failure is often defined by a couple of key goals over a season and Smith should help us with that in the same way he did QPR last season. I'm expecting him to be a real asset. If we could add a bit of real pace and quality at full back I think we'd be there.
With the versatility of a number of the players we have, the hard bit will be moulding them into a team. Assuming Bellamy and KimBo will be first choice as left and right, you've the option of a straight swap for Smith on the right, or move KimBo to the left and smith on the right. Smith for HH as an option? I hope these players have a switch in their head so they can toggle between positions without getting caught out of position. Cowie and Conway look as if they will be very much squad players if they even make the bench. Certainly in midfield and up front MM can't complain about not having options or depth. Could still do with a left back though. Fitting them all in will be a challenge. Assuming the middle of the park has Whitts, Mutch and Gunnar with Kiss, Ralls and McPhail as the back ups that leaves HH or Etien up front with KimBo, Mason, Ballamy, Smith out wide and Earnie, Rudy, Harris, Conway, Cowie fighting over the scraps.
Sorry people i just dont get it. MM plays 1 upfront, we now have Helguson, veronika, mason, gestede, earnie, smith. I could maybe understand it a bit better if were playing 442 however i really am starting to get a bit perplexed with reference to MM tictacs, and as we will all agree i am sure, It certainly aint pretty on the eye at the moment, and that needs to change rapido.
Smith can play as a winger. You guys have got a great player in Smith. Not the most technically gifted player but will try hard and is good with both feet.
Fvck me - how many of our ex players do you want? Seriously, Tommy is a real grafter, will work well with Heidur and I'd say is a very, very good signing for you
Really happy that just about all the comments about the 3 (from qpr fans) are really positive. All 3 are proven at this level and should be real assets to the squad. Think mm has spotted the opportunity to bring in 3 for the price of 1 due to your massive and ever growing squad. What do you think of the players You're replacing them with?
To be fair I'm actually a Watford fan! Just have very fond memories of both players at vicarage Road and look forweard to seeing them come back when we play you.
