I thought that as well - imagine when we play the mags (if they stay up <whistle>) and the abuse and stuff that may end up getting hurled from up there - could be lethal

That's what they were saying on SMB. Plus the fact that the south stand will be a singing area & a family friendly zone, wtf? A lot of complaints from parents sitting next to the "daft lads", not a good idea to me.

They'll be able to spit on me heed!

    Off to the South???

Why aren't they bunged in a corner of the West, surely the logical option?

I can see it going tits up tbh. Imagine being in the lower north if we were playing Newcastle, Leeds, Cardiff or Boro!

    Not for me like.

Only thing I can think of Billy is to 'net off' 3 or 4 rows for the potential bother games.

The other issue will be how to keep fans apart when going into games like the derby. The gates for the top tier face those for the lower bowl. For most games no bother but for the games which normally have a poliuce corden it will be a nightmare getting fans from the bus to the gate with out the risk of conflict.

    Another very valid point Washy.

Very enclosed space between those turnstiles as well, if it kicked off, the police would have major issues seperating people, and there'd doubtless be kids and families caught in the crossfire.

Be easier to put them in a section along the bottom tier of the East maybe, similar to Wolves & Blackpool?

They then have the ease of access from the car park area, and also have a pretty placid section of our lads above them.

    Is this map official?

Official as **** according to the SMB lads. All north stand STH have been sent letters.

I'm a North Stand season ticket holder, and I haven't had one.

(mind, they go to my mums in Seaburn, and I live in Marbella...)

I'll buzz my mum later and verify!

Yes it will, they'll use tight tarpaulin rather than an actual net. Viz Bramall Lane.

Is that what they do there? Does it work well?

I sit in row 40 of the North stand and I've had my letter telling me im moving. It translated to Mr Parker please move to the south stand next year it'll be dead good i promise.

I would move to the South stand if they swap dugouts and kick toward the south second half if we win the toss, otherwise id consider moving back to the north east corner where i had been since the sol opened

Well when I went last year, there were about 3,000 Sheff Utd fans in the tier above me and you'd never have known they were there. The concourse was also well segregated and policed, not like at Riverside where they have a single movable metal sheet between the Leeds and Boro fans and then fail to lock the door. <doh>

Am in row 32 directly below where things will be getting thrown, spilled etc. I have not had a letter.
I am going to risk next season where I am with a view to possibly moving at xmas if things are iffy.

Can someone from SAFC fully explain how they arrived at this decision. The opening of the ground and putting the fans where they are now was a cock up & this again appears to be the same. Moving the cells etc will be a major disruption as well as a cost issue. Not upset cos I am in the North stand just seems strange choice to put away fans above SAFC fans.
Still the scumbags never have any bother with us well behaved lot thru there.

Would have been better if they'd put the away fans in the lower north stand. Looking at the seating plan i reckon the atmosphere should be better as unlike now, where we have the crazy corner directing the chanting, with the new setup it should encourage the south, east and west stands to join in. I sit in the Concourse and the atmosphere is ****e, probably always will be, bit like the prawn sandwich brigade at Man-ure.

Must admit it does look a bit ****e for the lower North Stand and the Blackcats bar.

Accident waiting to happen if you ask me, keep the away fans on the bottom tier in a corner my guess would be the NW corner and move the kids/families as far away as possible. There is also the Black cats bar seats to consider, been lucky enough to sit there a couple of times but, would think again paying £50 to get all sorts chucked at me. Probably something the club haven't looked at either, half baked idea.
