Say City don't get promotion this year, who do you think will come down from the PL and up from L1 to challenge for promotion. Personally, I think Blackpool, Wigan and Wolves will come down and Brighton, Southampton and Peterborough will come up. Out of them, I think only Wolves will challenge promotion. Blackpool will be screwed once Adam leaves and probably DJ Campbell aswell as all the loanees that go back which they can't afford without PL football. Wigan will lose Rodallega, N'Zogbia, V Moses, Di Santo as well as Cleverly etc. which will go to proper PL clubs and they'll look to rebuild and stablize. Wolves may lose Doyle or Jarvis, but then they still have Hammill, Ebanks-Blake, Mouyokolo (spelling?), Hunt, Hennessy and I think I saw on SSN a few weeks ago, that there rebuilding a stand and extending the stadium. AS for the promotion 3, Brighton will get lots of momentum from bieng champions by a mile. Southampton will do well and will finish like MIllwall this year, but could struggle without Oxlade-Chambelaine and maybe Lambert. Peterborough will struggle like last time and could easily lose Joe Lewis, Boyd and Makail-Smith (we should've got him instead of McLean). Huddersfield could also come up and West Ham can easily come down.
Blackpool, Wigan and Wolves to come down but i see all of them being outside the play offs down to mid table and Brighton, Huddersfield, Southampton ... Brighton will be high on momentum but miss out on the play offs, Southampton i see been in the play offs and Huddersfield to finish about 10th
Also, who will be already in the Championship and challenging promotion, I think Hull, Leicester, Forest, Watford, Swansea and Brighton will be the main challengers. (With QPR, Cardiff and Reading going up)
West Ham have to play Chelsea and Man City away over the next couple of games so i see them being to far a drift after them games, i think Wolves will come down with either Blackpool or Blackburn. Blackpool are the one i fear they are making a profit atm in the PL they are doing what we should of done, they are coming down and not having to sell anyone. I see Southampton, Brighton and Huddersfield all coming up who will all be in the top half so the division is going to be a lot harder!
southampton will definitely be up there, teams have proven in the past couple of seasons that there isn't that much of a gap so i'd fully expect a side with some good players already, in addition to being able to invest, would challenge
Agreed, Sky are offering 10-1 for Brighton to WIN the championship next season.. I can see how people might think they might do a bit of a Millwall but to only offer 10-1 to finish top of the table is ludicrous.
I didn't realise that Brighton's new stadium is called the American Express Community Stadium. They've sold over 14,000 season tickets already, so it should be a decent day(and night) out.
probably, planned to go this season when we played burnley, or preston! ..and look what happened there... bristol is a good night out, and planning to stay there ...hopefully have something to celebrate too!
