Just wondering how everyone thinks next season will go in comparison to this season.

European football looks possible so plenty to factor in.

Your thoughts? Better? the same? worse?

I think it'll be tough. We're 5-6 players short of a true top 6 squad, and our recruitment has slowed right down. We would need 2 attackers, 2 CM, RCB and LB. We won't get that many, so I think the season will be similar to what has happened to the likes of Leicester and West Ham.

We need a CB, a left back (unless Targett comes back and shows his worth), a top draw cm, a right winger and a striker. Bare minimum.

However, we’ll do better next season as we’ll win the FA Cup and Champions league as well as the league and league cup

Better as we will have a stronger squad.

How do we know, this season is only just over 1/2 way through? <confused><confused>

I can't even predict how this season will finish, let alone next season.

But if we win the league and cup this year, how can we do better next year?

Oh wait, the quadruple, right, I see what you mean now. <cheers>

I agree. Squad is coming along nicely, but could be argued that only Pope, Trippier, Botman, Bruno and Joelinton are really at the level of top 6 starters. Isak will hopefully get there. Gordon perhaps, but I'm still unconvinced. A lot of strengthening still to do.

We've got longstaff who runs around more than any other player in the league and don't forget Murphy who's always reliable.

We’ve become so predictable as well due to the piss-weak squad. Would love to see what Eddie can do with 18-20 PL class players.

Hopefully it'll soon be Maddison and Kvaratskhelia in the squad instead of those two...

Please get a striker because isak is nota centre fwd that's for sure. I was worried when I saw his numbers and read that Sociedads fans were delighted they'd ripped us off.

I haven't been impressed with isak other than the game vs Liverpool which was very impressive so he can do it, but once isn't enough.

Perhaps needs a new side built to accommodate him .

Spotted a newsnow headline the other day that excitedly stated 'Howe has identified the new Shola Ameobi', so you don't need to worry. He's got this covered.

Also Almiron was carrying almost all of our goal threat during our hot streak, so that was always a worry too.
