I believe that this pre-season is where Mark will really put his stamp on our team. He will be given plenty of money for strengthening the team where he feels it needs to be added too. I think he will go for a four four two. As he has done for other teams he has managed before. As a team we will be stronger, fitter and more aggressive. Starting at the back I think he will get in a new keeper. I Think Paddy will go as he won’t want to warm the bench for us. Sadly I don’t think he has really made his mark this season. I know that the defence has been shaky around him but there has been too many goals were he has just not moved. I think he will get in at least on centre back to play with Anton. Some one big and strong to really bully the teams we are playing centre forwards. I can see us getting in a right back as well for back up for Onuoha. Even challenge for his place. We seemed to be alright on the left if we sign Taiwo as we have Torare as well. In the middle of the park we will need another player in the centre. I hoping we will get Diakite to stay and he will be one of the first on the team sheet. Not sure if we will keep Joey if he is out for ten games they say he will be. I can’t see him getting a squad place. The same goes for Ali if he is not back to fitness. We can’t really expect Derry to play another whole season I also think there are much better younger players than him. I don’t think Buzsaky is consistent enough. I think we need a proper right winger someone with speed who can cross the ball. I guess taarabt will stay on the left. Mackie I think will be used as an impact sub. Up front he will stick with Zamoro and Cisse. I think Zamoro will be playing a lot better with some on by his side. Not that I think he has done a bad job for us. We will need another out and out goal score to be used when Cisse gets sent off and injured. I am guessing he will stick with Campbell and Bothroyd as back up. Not really sure about these two as they have not really done much this season. I would like DJ to get a go as he really has suffered this season. He is also QPR through and through which can only be a bonus. I don’t have high hopes for Helguson I think he fitness will be a big problem. I think he and Hulse will be gone if we bring in new players. I think the other players that will be out the door are those who are already on loan. Plus Hall, Gabbidon, Young, Smith, and Wright-Phillips.
I agree with a large proportion of this queensland. I think Mackie should be used to challenge in his rightful position (as a striker) instead of being shoved out on the wing all the time. I'd like to see us bring in 2 wingers though, as we all know what Adel can be like.
Cant disagree withth that mate except i reckon Mackie may be our 2nd out and out striker...!! Think we will be a VERY diffrent team next year !Cant wait...
