Am I the only one really looking forward to next season? We only have pride to play for really now this season and a bit extra cash in the bank for finishing as high as we can. I cant wait to see what O'Neill does in the summer and if previous years summer windows are anything to go by we can expect Ellis to get his hand in his pocket again and back the manager. I think we all feel up top is the most important signing for us and we need a good front man to knock them in. Im really hoping Gyan goes as he has shown where his loyalties lie and TBH for me theres no coming back. Im not one to boo a player but I think I will be at least grumbling if he turns out in Red and White on the opening day of next season. Theres always going to be names banded about but i trust O'Neill to do the business and hopefully he will have some targets in mind that can do the job. Hopefully the changes to the away end help the SOL get rocing again. Too many times the away fans offer little or nothing to the atmosphere and there are a lot of empty seats on many occasions. Even when the away team bring a few fans, as with Spurs on Saturday they hardly got behind their team, I cant understand these supporters who travel away and dont get right behind their team. With the South Stand now being for our fans hopefully it will add to the atmosphere that us is SW get going, and hopefully this will help get the rest of the stadium involved. I know a lot of us have seen many false dawns but under the prophet O'Neill I really never have felt more confident going into a season for quite a while. If we can carry on the spirit from this season, keep the positives and add a quality striker I think this could be the year we equal or better Reideys best years.
Can't see an overhaul of the squad like in past seasons, a striker is a must, maybe a winger, new left back. Depends who leaves i suppose
I think Ellis will be looking for shrewd signings like noowcarstle have. In the past we have spent big but sold a lot too under him.
I think O'Neill will have a few tricks up his sleave. I think he will keep hold of the first team squad, and make a few key additions. Theres a bright future on the horizon for us Mackems
Just enjoying this one for now, still more time for Mon to access the players who normally dont get a game.
Reckon Bruce is better in the transfer market http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...Neill-spent-120million-years-Aston-Villa.html
I trust him to get the balance beetween the players we need and the funds available. I think we can trust Ellis to back the manager again, he seems to want what is best for the club, and in the past has put his hand in his pocket.
not in the premier league, with Celtic in the Scottish Prem. but he won nothing with Villa and just league cups with Leicester. Again these are facts, I must be looking blunter by the minute
deluded is closer to the mark if you want to use an old insult that is actually directed at my team, rather than getting confused and calling me a Bin Dipper, you could also try calling me and over expectant, arrogant supporter of a little club, if you wanted to pour some more water off the ducks back, but, this wouldn't change the facts about Martin O'Neill ;-)
no mate it wont. no matter what you say he is still a great motivator and one of the best managers around
Think ES would/will back MON but are we now not governed by this fair play league ruling? We can only spend the money we are generating. Probably ways around this but lets see. Still think with the manager we have now things are looking good.
