So, a week on and the dust and recriminations have started to settle, it seems.
    (Don't use Pink'un site so can't comment)

So, genuine question, which league would you rather we were in?
    Prem benefits:
    Massive media earnings.
Every game streamed / available somewhere.
Chance to see world class stars at the Carra every other week (though irrelevant until fans allowed back in)

    Champ benefits:
Games we can win a decent % of.
46 instead of 38 of DD's match day threads to savour.
Mainly regular kick off times, Sat 15.00 or Tue/Wed 19.45
instead of at the whim of Sky / BT / Amazon.
No VAR (last time I looked :emoticon-0112-wonde)

Feel free to add more of the numerous pros / cons of both leagues.

I think Webber summed it up nicely when he said, "...you don't realise how irrelevant you are in the Championship until you make it to the PL." (or along those lines).

Still though, I'd much rather have our yo-yo status over one of the semi-established, perennial survivors in the PL. Fighting for survival with just a handful of wins year in, year out doesn't appeal. I'd much rather sprinkle a few promotion runs in there from time to time. I don't know if i'm just getting used to relegation now or if I simply care less following this COVID restart but i'm not fussed about our relegation. We definitely deserved to drop, but I also know the Championship can be great.

As long as we don't become a Forest, Derby, or until recently Leeds/Ipswich, ever-present in the division with rare serious chances to escape the right way, I'm happy yoyo-ing.

If we aren't going to become an established PL side then I'm happy with yo yo ing. Best of both worlds.

The Championship is more fun but there's not enough TV money to pay for a competitive squad so you need rich owners or sell your best players .

I like the current emphasis on long-term development of the squad through buying or developing young players rather than short term fixes with older players.

It's a tough Question. This season has been a little soul destroying but ultimately the only way we get strong and stay strong is continued involvement in the PL. OK we'll never win it, Europe is a distant and unrealistic dream. But how good can we be? I'd like to see increasingly good players in a City shirt playing better and better football against the best.
I would have loved to have seen us stay up, keep our best and see how Webber could enhance us from there. 2 steps forward without the one back would accelerate our quality. With the step back we are restricted by reduced transfer budget, player appeal and salary. And then you have the possible talent drain, our best leaving only makes it harder to get up or stay up.
Maddison I hear you say! I genuinely think had he stayed we could have been better still. He is/was good enough to have played in that Farke team and make it better. He's at least a big Vrancic upgrade.
So whilst the upswing in yoyoing is great, the relegations are always horrible and hold us back longterm.

Although I look forward to stuffing QPR home and away, not something likely in the PL! <nahnah>

    Bah!

im happy with the championship to be honest. Being in the top end of a division is good entertainment, and the way i see it with our current financial model, if we get promoted every now and then its a fund raiser for the club, and it helps us promote the club to potential players as a possible 'ride' into the premier league. The money to stay up in the prem is crazy these days. We don't belong there for any long period of time with our current financial model.

And you know what i'm fine with that. just hope we play some good football, and make enough money to keep the club and everyone working there secure for the future.
