Last season we had a record number of players going out on loan.

So lets play a little game.
Who do you expect to go out on in the coming season, and where will they be going?

Benik Afobe - Championship (Cardiff have seen most of their strikers go...)
    Chuks Aneke - League 1
    Oguzhan Ozyakup - Eredivisie
    Niccy Yennaris - League 1
Ignasi Miquel - Eredivisie or La Liga
Kyle Bartley - Rangers (possibly will be in our squad)
Emmanuel Frimpong - Lower Premiership, top Championship side.
    Wellington - Eredivisie
    Samuel Galindo - La Liga/Eredivisie/Ligue 1
    Gavin Hoyte - League 2
    Saed Hajrovic - League 1
    Luke Freeman - Championship/League 1
    Gilles Sunu - Lorient
    Craig Eastmond - League 1
    Sanchez Watt - Championship

Rumors on the Charlton board are that Zak Ansah is going to the Valley.

Can't disagree with that, how good is Oguzhan Ozyakup? Never seen him play before.

Forgive me for butting in - but that's a pretty good topic of conversation from the op, and you've destroyed his thread in an instant.

You constantly tell us you have one of the best yoof systems in Europe, yet don't want to discuss the immediate prospects of that yoof?

Seems a tad strange to me. A few us us keep close tabs on our nippers' progress to feed back to the majority, and it's greatly appreciated.

Yeah it does seem like a dickish thing to do when D'Jeezus has put some effort in.

Maybe you should care because they are Arsenal players? Just because they aren't worth £25m or play for the first team doesn't mean they won't in the future. It's good to keep an eye on the youngsters and see what they can offer.

Well this thread has really taken off. Maybe these names are unknown to some of your fans?

Do I presume Gavin is a relation to Justin?

From that list, it appears Bartley/Frimpong/Afobe are the most promising ones? So who's likely to be getting the headlines in 3/4 years?

    Pubeus/Wilsherethemaster,

Why bother opening the article/posting a reply if you don't care? And what sort of Arsenal supporter does not care about Arsenal players?

Robin van Fibreglass, Ozyakup was probably the stand-out in the reserves last season. He is a CM, so has a very, very tough task ahead of him if he wants to make our first XI. Technically very good. Was close to leaving in the summer, but Arsenal fought hard to convince him to stay.

ShelfSideSpur, I am guessing they are growing impatient at the lack of experienced signings and are only interested in big money "names".
Probably from the list only Kyle Bartley and Emmanuel Frimpong look close to forcing their way into our squad. Afobe did well for Huddersfield, but needs to add a lot to his game before he could be considered as a likely Arsenal player of the future.
Wellington Silva is a very good player, but had a poor spell in Spain at Levante. Question marks about his attitude seem to be common, but certainly has talent. Under the right guidance he could fulfill the potential.
Ryo Miyaichi is another with a good chance of being the next big thing at Arsenal. Went from Japan school team to Feyenoord almost seamlessly and had a great loan spell in the Eredivise. Probably will stay out o n laon next season, but looks more than a shirt seller.

Maybe Miyachi could go to a smaller prem club like Wigan to get him used to English football. Seems to get very positive reports whenever he plays.

Frimpong is an interesting case, last season he looked like he progressed into a Song backup as he was that good in pre season. There was even talk of him starting against Liverpool alongside Jack. Then he picked up that serious injury and the player himself now has doubts about his future at the club. A cruciate injury is as serious as they get. Since he was out for a year i doubt he will be as good in pre season as last season. But with Wenger showing no signs of buying another DM this kid if he somehow repeats last season's form can imo be one of the main backup's to Song next season.

Good post here, ignore the others. Im always keen to see who is coming through the ranks but as im in scotland i dont get to see a lot of the reserves in action, the one name i did catch a glipse of was Ryo Miyaichi i think he is going to be phenomenal on a couple of years.

Saw Bartley play for the gers he didnt seem to be phased by the physical nature of the scottish game which might stand him in good stead in the future for arsenal.

Not any fresh rumours mate. The Gervinho stuff has all gone a bit silent. The Blackburn manager has said that Blackburn do not need to sell Samba as Jones is already gone. And the Mail have gone with the tedious Phil Jagielka to Arsenal story again. IMO we have two maybe three CB's better than him. Also he is same height as our curren CB's. Wenger said we needed taller players.

Cheers bud, yeah gervinho seems to have gone off the radar recently, last week it was all done and dusted. The mail must have nothing better to do i guess. its a hard life being a gunner in the transfer window.

Sure is. The Arshavin saga in one of the transfer window's was amazing though. We had the massive snow storm to add extra drama. And he signed and was genius for rest of the season.

Luke Freeman - is a kid i'm looking forward to seeing in the first team.

still young so i dont think he will be making the step into the first team this year but the season after i fully expect him to make the jump up to the first team - as long as he stays fit

I saw him play for Gillingham a couple of years back and he was the best player on the park (not hard i know) and i have watched him closely thru the youth team and then the reseves and he has a real future - quick, eye for for goal and has a wise head on young shoulders

Aye true enough, Although do you not think its a wee bitty pathetic how this country comes to a grinding halt because of some snow, i live up north and people just get on with it, and we have a LOT of snow! Anywhere from September right through to May it can and frequently does snow up here. Made me laugh coz i remember one morning the BBC had nothing to report on other than The U.Ks great salt shortage. honestly!

im just hoping this transfer window will actually produce some quality signings, but im fairly sure im setting myself up for some disappointment. Please prove me wrong Mr Wenger
