2016 Olympics will be in Brazil, I can't imagine we will be able to repeat the heroics of the London games bearing in mind it will take place in during the summer in the tropics. For such a small country I think our results in this years games puts into perspective the targetting of funds at sports we stand a chance of winning (rowing, cycling, sailing etc) and when you match us against the USA and China it is even more of a miracle that Team GB has done so well. All those losing tickets on the Lottery were worth while after all! China have over 2 billion people to pick from and the States have the college system which awards sporting ability rather than seeing it as a waste of time. We will never compete on numbers but I think we could take a leaf out of the Yanks book and promote sport through higher education. All the colleges are sponsored and they offer scholarships to less well off students which has resulted in massive success in practically every sport. Imagine what we could do in events other than the 'posh' sports if we invested in a similar way? To do as well again in the next Olympics will be an uphill task but the UK could be a serious contender if we got the roots of sport sorted out.
Over 2 billion people to pick from? Don't be so ****ing ridiculous, there aren't even 2 billion people in China, but I think I get your point. You should really learn to stop exaggerating, I must have told you a million times.
