Potter wierdly is the favourite on Skybet.

I mean, he's done a great job at Brighton, but Chelsea like their flashy names... replacing Tuchel with Potter? I don't see it.

He would be my favourite as well. Personally think he is the best manager in the league - the only concern you would have is whether he can make the leap to working with the bigger footballing profiles

He's done excellently at Brighton, best manager is the league is too much though, you can't really say here's better than Pep or Klopp.

Why? What have they done in particular that shines? Have they done it with limited resources and without spending hundreds of mullions of pounds? No they haven't. Brighton always look like they have a plan.

    Lol.

If you're trying to do the "why Graham Potter is better than Pep and Klopp" debate, you're not really going to succeed.

However we can all agree Potter has done excelently at Brighton in terms of signings, results and the football they play. He has definitely earnt himself a place in the running for the Chelsea job, but I'd be surprised if it wasn't a more big name choice.

    Lol.

You're in an odd mood today. "what have Pep and Klopp done particularly that shine? Won everything there is maybe? Omg they had money though, doesn't count!

Fine, Dave Smith is the best manager in the country cos he won the Dog & Duck Pub league division 5 with Pratt's Bottom Reserves last season.

I've just spent 10 days in hospital with gall stones followed nicely by a chest infection.

I am not saying they are not top drawer managers but I think Potter knows how to build a club whereas they don't (well not without billions and billions)

Sweet, I'm planning a holiday soon too.

You perhaps underestimate how much Brighton have spent in recent years, they've had a lot of high profile signings, just all being for an "undisclosed fee". Also Potter had inherited a decent Brighton team from Houghton that had been in the Prem for a couple of years, rather than a team that needed to be built from scratch. He's taken a lower mid table team to the next level, a good achievement, and comparable to what Howe is in the process of here.

Also Klopp started off fairly small, 7 years at Mainz before he got the Dortmund job, and even then he was in a league totally dominated by Bayern and managed to break through there.

Got Diego Simeone written all over it, this one. 7th in La Liga, been on the wane there for a bit, time for a change. Just the kind of asshole Chelsea would appoint.

Although I agree he’s a fantastic manager. He would be mad to jump into that role wouldn’t he not?

Think he deserves a chance at a bigger ( in the financial sense) club with bigger named players and see what he can do.

This role could cement him as the future England manager

True. But he’s in a safe place at Brighton doing a Sterling job.

Going to Chelsea he has earned i don’t question that at all.

But it’s such a risk for him. It’s a big call if he goes like.

Is it a risk for him? Is it a big call? Surely even managers want the best clubs?
