Good luck to the faithful travelling to the North West on Tuesday. One or two days off work and a 4am return beckons.
Mixed feelings. I really want us to win of course but I've got over Martinez and would prefer Sunderland to go down. Some of their fans have been particularly arsey on here over the last two seasons. Got a soft spot for the Toon but really can't stand Pardew. Wigan are perennial survivors, but is this a season too far and has the Cup run affected them? I know others would laugh their socks off if we were instrumental in sending senile Dave's team down (really don't lke him) and I can't deny that after him blatantly tapping up Martinez it would be justified but I for one have moved on. Interesting to see what others think.
Moved on regarding Martinez and I'd prefer any N east club to go down (ridiculous time spent travelling amongst many other reasons pardew being one ) but if our win tomorrow seals their fate then so be it . Old brown shoes has got some talented players and they do play nice football & I believe if they get relegated they will bounce back up but whether he stays there, time will tell. He's destined for greater things
Always liked Martinez and he is an excellent manager...but hope we thump them tomorrow, I feel that about every game but if we put a nail in their coffin I will allow myself a very large smile. I think it's what they call poetic justice. They took our manager, our 20 goal a season striker, the star signing we had lined up (Jordi Gomez), our best scout (Kevin Reeves), and numerous back room staff. They used their Prem money to nearly destroy us (just when we looked like we had a chance of reaching the promised land) in a desperate bid to replicate what we had...after playing hoof ball to get there. All you got at the time from Wigan and the neutrals was "that's football/life". Well we went ahead and did it anyway, surpassing Wigan, and if we get a crucial win to send them down you know what, that's life. Zero sympathy from me. I would go with the 3 wingers formation as they are wide open at the back; ----------Vorm----------- ------Chico--Ash--------- Rangel----------B. Davies -------Ki----Leon--------- Dyer---Routledge--Pablo ----------Moore---------- With Agustien, De Guzman and Donnelly (Laudrup will almost certainly go with Schecter though) coming off the bench. Let's bury them!
I want Wigan and RM to stay up (especially ahead of Sunderland, Stoke, Norwich or Villa) and I have a soft spot for Newcastle, but I want us to get something from this game so that if we beat Fulham in the last game we'll beat last seasons points total. Hopefully Wigan will lose to us then do their usual magic against Arsenal and Villa.
Please Swans do us a massive favour and beat Wigan. I know you've switched off for the season but all of us lower clubs are relying on you! Finish the season with a bang. If you win it could well be the left hook, which Man City will follow up by a sweet upper right, clearing the way for Arsenal to land the knockout blow. All I ask for is a 2-0 win. Their GD needs to take a hammering... Up the Swans!
I hope we smash wigan tomorrow, nothing against their fans or brown shoes but I want the win just for our confidence and end of season position. Wigan will come at us tomorrow so I expect to see Pablo, routs and Dyer exploit the spaces. Im going for a 2-1 win for the swans
Our recent record against wigan is good. 7pts from 9 available. I should hope that we get a tidy 2-0. Pablo to score (has to happen doesn't it, law of averages!)
not much love for Alan Pardieu is there!! I think it will be a cagey affair with us nicking a late goal, Ki to net the winner, 1-0!
Ki will score a hat trick and it will be 3-3. I prefer Wigan to stay up as it is easier to get to than Newcastle or Sunderland. The Toon to take the drop because they shove away fans in the gods. NB Martinez - a genuinely nice bloke who did a lot for the Swans. He was in the 11 that beat Hull, so in my eyes will always be a hero

I have a feeling that we will get a win today, one that will relegate the great escape artists, their time surely must be up this season, I'm going for a 2-0 win to the Swans, and it will help the Toon army, who are a decent bunch on here, though I'm no fan of Pardew!.................. I'd love us to relegate dodge Dave, and his partner bobby brown shoes!........... please log in to view this image
