    Marco Silva?

Hardly an inspired choice, is he a flat track, flat manager and the preferred young/dynamic coach that’s in fashion?

Will he perform better in the setup than Koeman did with a DoF.

    It's definitely Silva imo.

We're obviously moving to the continental model of a genuine DOF and more of a head coach. Walsh was a scout not a DOF imo.

Silva could be great if he's given time and is backed with the right players..,.

I see that Howe, my own personal choice to replace Bobby has had his odds slashed from r next manager. Interesting.

Nah, Howe is as long as 12/1. Arteta is shorter odds than him.

If you’re worried about Martinez MKII then I don’t see why you’d want Howe, his sides can’t defend for ****.

Silva is massively odds on, for a reason, he’s got the job. His one year contract (with an option for a 2nd year) with Watford officially expires tomorrow. The delay had been around his claims for the compensation that they didn’t pay him. He was due the rest of his first years contract but they didn’t give him a bean. They are countering his claim with a threat to sue us for compensation should we appoint him. They’re pissing in the wind legally imo due to the fact that they sacked him for performance issues 2 months after our approach for him, and haven’t paid him since.

So if that’s the case we could expect a release on Tuesday to confirm and get things moving. I feel this is a little more complicated.

It might be, but personally I doubt it.

I’d expect an announcement maybe on the day that Brands starts, which is June 1st

    Hmmm. Hardly inspiring.

But with a chance of a decent relationship between manager and DoF we should do better.

I think he did a good job at Hull, despite their ultimate relegation as he nearly got them out of it, when they were absolutely buried due to their extremely poor squad.

I like the fact that we’ve changed the structure with Brands coming in as a genuine DOF, so we’ll see how it pans out mate.

I feel a little sorry for him. Had he come in during last season when the approach was made, I think he'd have really galvanised the squad and got the fans on side. I reckon Sam will have left him more problems to work with now.
Getting Wayne out the door will help, but what is the problem with the players and Niasse?

Points more towards Walcott and Tosun being Silva signings.

Lazy press. You can tell with how the celebrate with him.

Koeman didn’t want him due to the arrest/dropped charge of him allegedly slapping his Mrs.
