Who should it be? Koncheskey -Been everywhere, done everything. Experience and always 100% effort. Mr. Consistent. Wellens -Never shuts up, experience as Leicester captain before. Bamba -Big centre half, always shouting instructions, 100% effort. King -Was Sven's captain last season, although it a little quiet.
Has he been stripped of it or soemthing? Or do you just mean for the next few games? And sorry, in terms of editing the poll, I have failed again with the technical side of the forum
Next 3 games, but I don't think he should automatically get the captaincy back. How Nigel views this is up to him of course, but I'd give it to Kasper or Paul until Matt or someone else earns it for "leading by example." Having the armband would help Kasper with any "red mist" issue he might still have (although he seems to have that under control lately.)
Yeh I do agree tbf, though I can't see him being stripped of it. I would also choose Kasper - original choice at the start of the season was Wellens but he's been way too inconsistent so far. Kasper has certainly led by example.
Kasper took the armband yesterday after Mills went off. Whether that was just how it panned itself out or whether Nigel said that Kasper will get it should Mills go off I'm not sure? Wellens has been the one who has had it before when required and he had it when Mills was suspended for NP's first game so I'd expect that he'd get it considering he's the designated vice-captain. Personally, I've always felt that captaincy is a bit over-rated in football. It's not like in Cricket or Rugby whereby they'll actually have to make decisions that influence the game. You need more than one leader on the pitch and the fact we have so many potential 'captains' in this side is encouraging for me.
Kasper took the amband yesterday but i dont like keepers being the captain. Mills should keep it but while hes suspended i would give it to Konchesky I wasnt sure about him at first but the last few weeks i have started to warm towards him
I would say Wellens because he's been at the club longer and does tries to organise things anyway. I don't think Schmeichel is ready for it yet and I'm not sure whether King has the personality to be a captain, although I don't know him personally so maybe he is a stronger character than I give him credit for. Off topic, but I think Konchesky is looking the business. He is so busy down the left now and is quite inspirational. Definitely a captain when he has been here for longer. His goal yesterday was quality too. And only weeks after I was thinking he should be banned from shooting because it always whizzes over the bar!
So long as Wellens is in the team he should be captain. Kasper will be Kasper if he's captain or not. Mills I'm not sure he's worth his place at the moment. He's certainly not looking like a £5 million centre half?
Konchesky was our best player yesterday imho, and is also the most experienced player in the team, it's a no-brainer.
I was thinking a few weeks back that Konchesky isnt good enough Since Sven left he has improved massively
omg, i'm laughing so hard at this thread right now. I just felt i needed to thank you guys for making me laugh so hard
I´d never make the GK a captain, CD or CM if any are up to it. Konchesky would be a good choice for me.
