I for one cannot wait - and really cant call what our starting 11 will be- but one thing this uncertainty does provide is excitement. Chelsea are still stuttering - and may be there for the taking - now who would have thought 40 points by start of February. Starting11 for me flash bardo anton titus ned steed ricco bolo elmo hendo gyan I would probably have muntari and sess on the bench for this game, I really think ricco's pace making runs from midfield would have the chelsea centre halves panicking. Things really are looking bright - and the club have seen this as an opportunity to really push forward to try and maintian our top 6 position - with Liverpool starting to find some form.
Muntari is not available. He has to go back to Italy to complete some paperwork. So it might be Sess for Elmo either from the start or as a sub.
jg if i am wrong i will apologise on wednesday, but although that team beat b/pool, the reason for our new sighnings is quite frank, the above team would not get us into europe. fact. although everyone is on a high we must not forget we are playing p/l champs, lost our top scorer, and are down to one striker im sure im going to get slated here, but we must not let ourselves turn like our neighbours. these are unchartered waters and must tread easy. things are looking bright for us. in all honesty a draw is a cracking result, and proves how far we have come, especially with a decimated team
Good points - yes we are missing some key personnel - but this teams confidence is sky high -and they keep turning out the results. I think it will be a very difficult game for us - and I would be delighted with a point Lets not forget the last time we played chelsea. We beat them (also when we had key players missing) pace, and quick precise passing. Something the above team has.
