Cabaye was captain of the double winning Lille side wasn't he? Good enough for me.

I think Shola will play and he'll get the captaincy.

Captain Dreamboat. Captained Lille to the double which alone makes him the obvious choice.

Cabaye would be the obvious choice in my opinion, although I've never heard him talk but if he can't speak English I'd go for Krul.

I see Gutierrez is 2nd, which surprises me a bit. I always thought he was a good player but when I've seen you guys this season I thought he was poor so I wouldn't have thought he was guaranteed to start, let alone as captain. I'm sure you guys, having seen a lot more of your team than me, will be able to put me right on this though.

He's a guaranteed starter when available. One of our hardest working players (see Stoke (a) for example). End product is often lacking (but a bit better this season), but he never stops running and never gives up.

You don't have to have been at a club for ages to be a good captain, thought it does help of course.

Shola for me <ok>. If he can play like he did against Chelsea, I want him to start against Norwich.

    Fair enough.

So are Coloccini and Taylor out for long? They've been superb for you so far this season and I'm not sure I'd trust Perch and ???? to keep you with the pack chasing 4th.

Saylor could well be out for the season, Colo out for upto 2 matches. Huge blow. Those 2 + Krul are pretty much the main reason we have kept the points coming in even against the odds.
Of the two, I'm glad it isn't Wor Colo who is out for the season, not only is it he who is the figurehead in our defense but he breathes confidence through the entire team.

However Taylor has been defending Krul like a steroid-induced super hero this season, and will be a huge miss. Gutted!

All of our non-French speaking players have probably been instructed to learn French anyway, so the English isn't a problem <ok>

In the dressing room and around the club they're only allowed to speak English, so they'd know a fair bit by now.

Simmo, he might not be the best, but he is always starting in our squad and talks to the ref.

No offence to the Cabaye lovers on this board, but is he as outspoken or good with his english?
