I don't think there is much point in trying to predict results too far into the future so I will start a little game of predicting the results for the next five games only. 3 points for correct match score, 1 point for correct match result if predicted score is wrong plus 5 points for correct total points prediction for next five games Tranmere 1 Charlton 1 (result 1-1) Charlton 2 Rochdale 0 (result 1-1) Charlton 1 Stevenage 0 (result 2-0) Chesterfield 1 Charlton 2 (result 0-4) Bournemouth 2 Charlton 0 (result 0-1) Total points for next five games is = 10 points I will put the next five games up about the time of the Bournemouth game AllHell
Tranmere 0 Charlton 1 Charlton 2 Rochdale 0 Charlton 2 Stevenage 0 Chesterfield 0 Charlton 1 Bournemouth 1 Charlton 2 then it doesn't matter what other results we get, be so far clear of 3rd. 15 Points
Dunno, cant see us continuing to play so badly and the defence continuing to bail us out - at some time, its got to give ... Tranmere 2 Charlton 0 Charlton 1 Rochdale 0 (jacko Pen) Charlton 1 Stevenage 1 Chesterfield 1 Charlton 2 Bournemouth 0 Charlton 1 Still gets us 10 points though - more than enough to keep us well off the chasing pack.
Tranmere 3 Charlton 1 Charlton 1 Tranmere 0 Charlton 4 Stevenage 0 Chesterfield 0 Charlton 2 Bournemouth 0 Charlton 0 10 points... Hopefully a defeat will do us good
Tranmere 1 Charlton 0 Charlton 4 Rochdale 1 Charlton 2 Stevenage 0 Chesterfield 0 Charlton 1 Bournemouth 1 Charlton 1
Tranmere 0 Charlton 1 Charlton 0 Rochdale 2 Charlton 2 Stevenage 1 Chesterfield 0 Charlton 2 Bournemouth 0 Charlton 1
No, we're not going to lose to Tranmere on Saturday. Especially if they score first. They've scored first in 14 games this season and haven't won a single one from that position. And Showunmi won't be playing.
Wow, thats quite a stat Tewkes - lets hope they score first on saturday then ! I'd be happy with a draw.
Is that a known fact? I know Man Utd used to say that Giggs and co. were injured when we played them but they always appeared
Tranmere 0 Charlton 1 Charlton 1 Rochdale 0 Charlton 1 Stevenage 0 Chesterfield 0 Charlton 1 Bournemouth 1 Charlton 1 Total points, 13
Tranmere 1 Charlton 2 Charlton 6 Rochdale 1 Charlton 3 Stevenage 1 Chesterfield 1 Charlton 3 Bournemouth 1 Charlton 2 Maximum points but no clean-sheets.
Impossible to predict. If we keep playing poorly the bubble has to burst some time you would think. But we could keep scraping draws or narrow victories till the cows come home. Alternatively, it could all click again and we could muller Rochdale etc. I'm genuinely stumped. That said I don't expect to lose at Tranmere. On the positive side, if we can win these five games, I think we will be done and dusted. New shelf in the trophy room.
tranmere 0 v charlton 3 (expect a backlash against recent poor peformances) charlton 2 v rochdale 1 charlton 0 v stevenage 1 (our only home defeat of the season...thats to the boo boys) chestefield 1 v charlton 4 bournemouth 2 v charlton 0 9 points...still on track
Tranmere 1 Charlton 1 Charlton 1 Rochdale 0 Charlton 1 Stevenage 1 Chesterfield 1 Charlton 2 Bournemouth 0 Charlton 1 11 points - don't think there will be any thrashings, all tight affairs with the single goal being the difference.
Sorry A4L - should have included this in my reply. http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/spor...urning-to-tranmere-rovers-fc-100252-30348208/
Phew cheers Tewks - But I'll still take this with a pinch of salt maybe he'll have a place on the bench to cause problems in the final 10mins if need be
Tranmere 1 Charlton 2 Charlton 3 Rochdale 0 Charlton 0 Stevenage 0 Chesterfield 0 Charlton 2 Bournemouth 2 Charlton 1 Total = 10 points
