I do think it is funny how fans have reacted to the success of Man City. They seem to be universally admired by supporters of other teams even though their recruitment policy has probably been akin to what Liverpool have done albeit the Scousers seem to be more likely to plunder the squads of domestic teams. I agree about the comments regad Rodgers and totally appreciate the bitterness towards him. It is nice to get a result against City yet it always strikes me as being an acheivement to celebrate as a Saints fan as opposed to getting one over on a team.

Going to back the 1980s, Saints fans only accorded more bitterness towards Portsmouth than Luton. I never quite understood this as it seemed to have spilled out between the fans as a separate issue to the plastic pitch which everyone hated. Having Fozzie play for Luton did not help yet I can still remember someone I worked with a few years previously being escorted out of the stand when a fight broke out with a Liuton supporter. This was one of the few times I had witnessed any fighting at The Dell. The hostility followed on for about ten seasons until Luton plunged down the league.

What I would point out with that I have worked in places where there has been a fierce rivalry between individuals who supported different teams. I once worked with a couple of Middlesborough supporters including one who was a good mate but the biggest wind-up merchant I have met with - not so much from the point of view of being nasty (which they never were) but with regard to their effectiveness. The football windups started with him saying that Saints had sold Le Tiss. This was well before the internet was known about. There was an incident when Bryan Robson was boss which regarded either Ravanelli or one of their Brazlian players and I got him back about 12 months later by convincing him when I returned from site that Radio 5 had announved there was a mass exedous from Middlesborough. It was so convincing I managed to make both of the Boro' supporters believe me and got one to speed back up the A34 so that he could check on Ceefax when he got back home. It was never a nasty rivalry but I always hope Boro' would lose so I could wind it up on a Monday morning.

Don't particularly dislike Leicester, but as others have said any side managed by Brenda I wish to lose.
Don't Like West Ham - especially since the porn kings took them over. Thuggish fans and the stadium issue mostly.
Don't like Villa mostly because of their idiot fans.
Don't like Spurs.
The teams I always love to see to lose are Pompey and Liverpool.

Teams I don't mind so much - Bompey, Brighton, Arsenal and both Manc clubs.

Yeah that was a 7-game run I had, which included wins at Stamford Bridge and Villa Park, plus the Leicester game you mention.

Edit: the 7th game was a loss, obviously. So six unbeaten.

It was worse than that. He said something about think we had ambition and talked about us not he having it anymore. Prize ****. That began with a C, if anyone was wondering

Weren’t the claims it was part of the policy and allowed us to go and bring in who we did as replacements all part of the retrospective reassessment?

I really don’t recall us heading into that summer with the stated policy to sell off four first team players and one promising player who was an important squad player all in one summer. If there are quotes from June 2014 or before setting that out as our plan then I will stand corrected. But I don’t think they exist

The bizarre thing was, we bought Long, Tadic, Pelle, Mane and went onto have two very good seasons, but Rodgers is still a twat

Everton - W
Norwich- W
Villa- L
Newcastle- L
Watford- L

With Burnley and Leeds away, (both fighting for survival) anyone want to revise their predictions?

I can't see anything other than 2 losses atm
