We don’t seem to have had one of these threads for a while, but with a (supposedly) easier run of games coming up, what are your expectations? Everton (H) Norwich (H) Villa (A) Watford (H) Burnley (A) Leeds (A) I’m going for a modest 9 points
In all seriousness, this run of fixtures gives us a huge opportunity. It will be very interesting to look back on this thread in a couple of months time after either a super points haul which pushes us towards European qualification, an average haul which keeps us where we are now or a poor haul which pushes us back to 14th or 15th and has @LincolnSaint screaming for Ralph's head again.
The New Saints: Everton (H) 3-1 W Norwich (H) 4-1 W Villa (A) 1-2 W Watford (H) 3-0 W Burnley (A) 0-1 W Leeds (A) 0-1 W 18 points The Normal Saints Everton (H) draw Norwich (H) win Villa (A) loss Watford (H) win Burnley (A) loss Leeds (A) win 10 Points The Old Saints Everton (H) draw Norwich (H) loss Villa (A) win Watford (H) draw Burnley (A) draw Leeds (A) loss 6 points I'm going for a mix of New and Normal.
Personally, I'll be disappointed if we don't get into the 40's after these 6 games. 11 points is the least we should be expecting from those games.
I am afraid that most of these games at home will be like the Coventry game. We'll pick up more points away.
It is only the cup games that are that bad due to the 15% rule. I do think we need to sort out stadium seating - move away fans or if that is genuinely impossible reallocate the Northam tickets into the chapel - just give us a proper home end for atmosphere.
Everton (H): L Norwich (H) : W Villa (A): D Watford (H): W Burnley (A): D Leeds (A): W An ambitious 11 points for me.
I think he was referring to the fact that the teams coming to St Mary's will sit deep and look to hit us on the break.
