Yes I know I have too much time on my hands but here are the next 6 games upto the end of February for all the bottom 10 teams. You can all do the predictions and work out the tables. From 10th downwards and their current points totals. A massive 6 games that could also see us in a Wembley Final, or not and into the 5th round/6th round of the FA Cup? How a season can turn and lots of our 'rivals' playing each other too. Hull - 23pts currently Norwich (a): Palace (a): Spurs (h): Sunderland (a): S'hampton (h); Cardiff (a) Villa - 23pts currently Arsenal (h); L'pool (a); WBA (h); Everton (a); W Ham (h); Cardiff (a); Scum (a) Stoke - 22pts currently L'pool (h); Palace (a); S'land (a); Man Utd (h); S'hampton (a); Swansea (h); Man City (a) Swansea - 21pts currently Spurs (h); Fulham (h); W Ham (a); Cardiff (h); Stoke (a); L'pool (a) WBA - 21pts currently Everton (h); Villa (a); L'pool (h); Palace (a); Chelsea (h); Fulham (h) Norwich - 20pts currently Fulham (a); Hull (h); Scum (h); Cardiff (a) Man City (h); W ham (a); Spurs (h) Fulham - 19pts currently Arsenal (a); Swansea (a); S'hampton (h); Man Utd (a); Liverpool (h); WBA (a) West Ham - 18 pts currently Scum (h); Chelsea (a); Swansea (h); Villa (a); Norwich (h); S'hampton (h) Cardiff - 18pts currently Man City (a); Man Utd (a); Norwich (h); Swansea (a); Villa (h); Hull (h) Sunderland - 17pts currently S'hampton (h); Stoke (h); Scum (a); Hull (h); Man City (a); Arsenal (a) Crystal Palace - 17pts currently Stoke (h); Hull (h); Arsenal (a); WBA (h); Everton (a); Man Utd (h)
We arent the only ones with some horror games though RAW. Got to fancy a few points from those other games though?
Bruce has past history with B'ham, Wigan and us twice running with a total collapses from January onwards, after cracking starts and I can see Hull doing likewise.
hull 4 villa 2 stoke 2 swansea 9 baggies 2 norwich 6 fulham 1 hammers 2 cardiff 5 palace 5 us....10 where would that leave things? i just kinda made that up euthout cross-referencing scores properly
I reckon a very comfortable 8 points for us out of those fixtures Cest, Took us for a safe draw at home to the Saints, although I think we can win this if we maintain recent performances, or indeed, keep on improving. Also took us for a draw away to the scum, but again, very winnable on current form. Stock and the Cod Heeds are should win games at home. The final two, I wrote them off, but wouldn't be surprised if we picked up at least another point from either of them, possibly Arsenal. And fro memory I think we have some should win games after those you have listed so I'm not worried at all, we will be OK and lets not forget, we have players coming in who will further boost the ranks and provide completion and hopefully improvement to the squad.
Could see us getting 11, most pleasing aspect is the way were playing Atm. Looking at the other teams around us we're in much better form. Unbeaten in last 5 away, only lost one in last 9. Every one believing in Gus's philosophy and structures & more importantly believing in each other.
I've said for some time now that Hull could fall away and end up in the bottom three, however Bruce is close to signing Jelavic so he is aware they need too score more goals, as do we, Fletch, Jozy and Borini need to start getting on the score sheet regularily between the three of them, plus Gus may have a striker up his sleeve this month we will have to wait and see.
Fulham's look tough. Plenty games against each other. Solskjaer could be looking at 3 defeats to start off with then a huge game at home to Norwich.
Swansea 30 Sunderland 27 Norwich 26 Villa 25 Stoke 24 WBA 23 Cardiff 23 Palace 22 West Ham 20 Fulham 20
Cheers! Well, it's distinctly possible. I wasn't that pissed last night.....i'd love to be in that position come March. With a cup final to look forward to and the ability to cement our league position by putting more distance between us and our rivals (with home games against the Baggies, Palace and Hammers...and Norwich away. Not much expected v Liverpool away) we could be looking okay by April.
I think looking at those sides Cardiff and Fulham are in big trouble. After they both lost to relegation rivals they both have 2 very tough fixtures after. Back to back wins or losses can mean a lot in a relegation dogfight.
Fulham look doomed and Cardiff will struggle as well, Hull look like they could get drawn right into the mix and maybe Norwich.
