Gillingham...cov crewe shrews away home to brad mk dons........ ouch

Carlisle ...sheff notts wolves at home Stevenage and shrews away...manager gone potentially 8pts??

Notts .....tranmere crewe at home MKdons orient Carlisle away.....guess they will still be bottom

Coventry.. Shouldn't be here top 6 on points...home to gills brent and sheff away Pvale and Stevenage.. another 9 points?

Sheff..new owner gives manager support! preston crawley home Carlisle wolves Coventry away a while before they get in top ten..7pts

Tranmere..home brent pvale away notts Swindon brad possibly be bottom 4 after this lot

BCFC ..we need to start winning irrespective of who we play, team getting a bit of confidence 15 points up for grabs nice to get them all but 9 would be good

    Jesus JG, lighten up !

There is enough talent at Bristol City to be making a fist of it by the end of term.
I still dont reckon we will go up this year, but next season will be a different story (as long as we keep The SOD).
If we can hang on to JET & Baldy it would certainly help also.
Our manager is building a launch pad, but it is necessarily a slow process

It does remind me of the early days of Gow, Tainton and Spiring, when they were mostly a young team. Earnie arrived and got the kids to play (in fact taught them to be consistent, take a bow Mr Dicks). Then the cup run and we know what happened after.

We could go through 2 divisions in a very short space of time, as many teams have of late.
Its quite a fresh Premiership at the moment.

I agree with both sides but we desperately need a couple of back to back league wins.

Peterborough have dropped 5 points from their last 2 games and we should be more than capable of beating them on Saturday

Like BRR says, if we keep SoD and continue to play the way we do, it will change. I was laughed at saying we won't go up this year. Even had a thread asking me who would be above us come the end. This is exactly the way I thought it would go, struggle to get points and when it clicks we will move up the table towards play offs or just outside. Anything above that bonus, but if we all stick together next season we will be frightening to play against. Patience is the key this year. <ok>

Wiz Is that a back handed compliment or should be offended, as usual I fail to grasp the meaning behind your statements.

How dare he suggest that City will be relegated and Rovers promoted, hang on that would be funny. View attachment 26121

Hmm on second thoughts, unless he means that we will both be relegated in which case I agree with Banksy and Bright red he is a wazock total waste of space a bell end and should be banned from your forum. wink.gif

Inevitably the posters have come out of the woods to proclaim that the next 5 games are crucial in our determination whether we will prosper this season. As most of you know I am usually on the negative side of the fence and will only change my pessimism if we pick up way more points over the next 5 games, because if we don't then the supposed rebuild could turn out to be an abject failure. Looking at our current league position I think the jury is perfectly within it's rights to still be out on the case.

Surely even the most optimistic should be able to see that our current form is not making our competitors shake in their boots, so we need a boost in performances and points to continue to get my undying support for the new look team.

I agree, he offers nothing to this board. But he don't even go to see Shrewsbury. The Gusheads seem to like him, but I just find that he's a dick head.

meant to be make or break for them, but

ABSOLUTELY RIGHT the reason I did the article was the new Sheff owner with a name longer than the alphabet has given a vote of confidence to the manager, as I have stated in previous seasons current form and opposition is more often the basis results than a team at the top playing a team at the bottom who would have thought that after scoring 11 goals in 2 games they would get a point let alone 3 against Peterbro?
of course after the next 5 games we will still have a game in hand so really it is our 6 against there 5, 18 points up for grabs it would be fantastic to get 12...on course and possibly in 2 cups still!

Here to be shot down, but I saw green shoots appear at the Palace game and continue against the Sags.

Hoping we'll get close to the P/Os come April.
