Next Saturday looks a great time to take advantage of those above and below us Bristol City vs Derby Leeds vs Ipswich Barnsley vs Sheffield Wednesday Cardiff vs Peterborough Never are we going to get fixtures like this where we can give ourselves some breathing space and what we would be hoping for is a Leeds and Cardiff win with Barnsley and Wednesday drawing and if all goes right the table could look like this Ipswich 23 Bristol City 21 Barnsley 19 Sheffield Wednesday 16 Peterborough 13 Then we go to Ipswich where we never have NO luck but maybe like Forrest away last season we can turn our luck around, other important fixtures around us Millwall vs Barnsley Peterborough vs Bolton Sheffield W vs Charlton again we really need to take advantage and we need that bit of luck to go our way again, To possibly take us 5 points above relegation and a point above Ipswich. The next 2 games are so important and I think 4 points are the very least we should be taking. Then after those 2 we have 2 home games against Watford and Peterborough, There are no easy games in this league but we have been blessed with a nice Christmas fixture list and we need to take advantage.
Watford and Ipswich are both tough games. If we get more than a point from those 2 games I will be pleased. Nice as it would be for a gap to open up I think the Barnsley result at Leicester yesterday shows that you really can't predict these things. We're likely to be in an even harder scrap than last season for the foreseeable I fear.
its never easy when were where we are, so that's why these next 4 games are crucial if were going to have a bit of form now is the time to get it, Would be nice to be places above the relegation zone than just points
Traditionally, this is the time of year that we pick up. We haven't had a home game on Boxing Day since Dec 2006 so lets hope we can get some sort of momentum going and get a monster crowd in. Could also do with a repeat of the last time we played Watford on Boxing Day at their place in 2008 (which I went to) when Nicky scored literally as we were walking to our seats...!
