Great news! I just hope the guy still has it in the bag. So i can continue this lazy morning into the late afternoon, anyone have any stats on his last few seasons? Is this our strong battler upfront?

Cheers Concerned

BoyinBlue - Google Kenny Miller then go to the Wikipedia page for all the info you want.

If Malky thinks he is the guy for us and he and the owners will pay the fee then who are we to argue. If/when he signs he must have total support of all despite the reservations previously expressed. Apart from the Derby blip his track record is generally good and we will have 2 proven goal scorers knocking them in for us. <ok>

£880K is more than I expected, but not too much for a player who could do a job for us, well worth it in my opinion.

i doubt the credibility of these rumours. any quotes or is it just pure speculation?

if i were miller, on £50k a week in the champions league, i wouldnt even consider dropping to the championship. for me its rangers or no deal tbh.

Any quotes?
The article has a load of comments from the Turkish club's director of transfers: Bursaspor claim Cardiff City have matched their valuation and, according to their director of transfers, Erkan Kamat, Miller will fly to the UK today and head for the Welsh capital.

Boy In Blue...here's what I put in the earlier Miller thread:

So it seems the only place he flopped really was at Derby (and lets not forget that Derby were a real powerhouse that season!):

Senior career*
Years Team Apps† (Gls)†
1998–2000 Hibernian 45 (12)
1998–1999 → Stenhousemuir (loan) 11 (8)
2000–2001 Rangers 30 (8)
2001 → Wolverhampton (loan) 5 (2)
2001–2006 Wolverhampton 162 (50)
2006–2007 Celtic 33 (7)
2007–2008 Derby County 30 (4)
2008–2011 Rangers 81 (49)
2011– Bursaspor 15 (5)
Total 412 (145)

...now who would want a player that flopped at Derby that year???

Anyone care to hazard a guess at who's record this is below:

Senior career*
Years Team Apps† (Gls)†
1998–2004 Cardiff City 205 (105)
2000 → Greenock Morton (loan) 3 (2)
2004–2006 West Bromwich Albion 43 (12)
2006–2007 Norwich City 45 (29)
2007–2008 Derby County 22 (1)
2008–2011 Nottingham Forest 102 (38)
2011– Cardiff City 0 (0)

I think the Turkish press release is full of hot air, they are trying to sell the player, however why would somebody pay almost treble than what Burpsapor paid in January, it doesnt make sense. I can understand the Turkish psyche on this as it is in their blood to barter, i would suggest 888euro is the starting point and they will work down to somewhere in the region of 400euro. I remember buying an Elvis Beach towel of a seller in Istanbul many years ago (drunk at the time) starting price £50 got it for the bargain price of £5, when i woke up the next day and actually saw what i bought, well needless to say it ended up in the Med somewhere, i just hope the same doesnt apply to the purchase of Miller. Cant see him coming myself
