Thing is, what will now happen to the other Red Tops? They all do the phone tapping lark. How extensive will this police enquiry be? As far as I'm concerned, I wouldn't shed any teers if all the tabloid press went out of business. They're a dying form of media anyway and do much harm to our culture.
Found this on twitter…… 'The sun on sunday URL was bought on the 5th of july.. so much for the news of the world shutting.....'
What's the odds that your bent ("Bit of a story for £xxx, mate") cops will slime out of it, as well as the red-top whores?
Has anyone ever thought of NOTW as anything other than the Sun on Sunday anyway? Bet they're registered as seperate companies and this is just a way of protecting future sales revenue from the compensation claims for hacking.
You like my avatar then I usually bought the NOTW purely for decent sports writing, but obviously these writers may convert to 'The Sunday Sun.' A new Sunday paper could be on the cards for me!
Thank goodness. Gutter press. Dont trust Murdoch. He is using the NOTW as a sacrificial lamb as he aims to get full control of sky. Bet the rest of the sundays will be happy over this news. But will miss the sunday sports sections. Any replacement paper will simply be seen as NOTW No.2 so yes a gap in the market. If the Sunday Sun happens that wont help News International at all.
